New opening hours FYI. Now closed Sunday. Still a really loud library . Bring headphones . Has wifi , power and printing facilities.

No John Green books . Kids section very noisy , and not the cleanest. Good range of activities, although staff running them sometimes pounce on you. 3*

During the summer holidays sign children up for the reading challenge and get stickers and certificates.

Noisiest library I've ever been to, lots of tables for studying but not a suitable studying environment.

More than just a library - a real Discovery Centre! Complete with coffee shop

Don't be alarmed by the strange and persistent beeping noises in this latest refurbishment - it's the sound of the automated 'checkouts', not a children's toy .

If you want to be able to do work here don't forget your headphones these days! No longer 'library hush'

Sunday opening & closing made 1 hour earlier, 11 to 3, so pity us late risers.

Require headphones to work, unless you're creating the noise .

Cafe is closed on Sunday.
