Richard H. Driehaus Museum

The home is beautiful and very well preserved. The Downton Abbey exhibit was well done and well placed through the home. Skip the tea service - it's badly executed. Have tea at The Drake instead.

Amazing museum/house! One of the best attractions I've visited in Chicago. Definitely should be on your todo list if you are in the magnificent mile area. Admission is $20

Go if u have an hour or so to spend in the Magnificent Mile before heading to the airport . Beautiful property and they have a fully function Crapper to boot!

[Burling & Whitehouse, 1879] Originally the Nickerson Mansion , this museum is a rare example of the palatial homes of the Gilded Age.

An absolut must to understand the American life in the 19th century. Impressive restoration of an elegant building.

Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time. They also have some great walking tours beyond the museum

Go with time to pay attention to the permanent collection! What a jewel!
