South Seas Island Resort

This is a beautiful way to spend a family vacation. Beaches , pools, lots of activities for the kids and adults. Kayaking is a must! We rented a golf cart to get around the island and loved it.

I'm impressed by their commitment to the environment. Recycling , biodegradable disposable dish ware, water conservation, respect for animal life. I don't see much of that in FL-it's refreshing.

It is the best place to stay in Captiva Island . It’s really an amazing place because has everything. Beach , pool, services and a big part of the island to diacover.

Very nice sunset . They have a lot of activities for family. Go for a long weekend!

There’s no such thing as a bad view from this resort . My god it’s just always a stunning shot. Room is clean and modern and just the right size.

At the harbour you'll always be able to spot manatees by the docked yachts and dolphins following in the boats with the latest catch. Awesome view , awesome place.

Own a house here, 924 beach time! When leaving sunset beach , turn right and two houses down: "Beach time". Rent this house and sign the guestbook! Pool and fishing in backyard ! You will love it.

This is a beach resort and a great place to unwind. Forget the schedules and embrace the tropical atmosphere. If you need a perfect resort go to Disney or Boca. This is old Florida beach hospitality .

With little kids (12 & under), do the "scout about" - it's sort if a treasure hunt that helps you hang with your kids while exploring the entire resort .

Great beaches ; rented 3 BR house steps from beach . Beautiful grounds & landscaping. Relaxing and fun.

This resort is first class with great accommodations and friendly service . This is a perfect get away for an active family.

amazing! The harbourside room was perfect... Most of the staff were over the top friendly (a few were grumpy). Food & drinks were great. Definitely get a bike ! It's the best way to explore!

Be sure to hang out in the North end Harbour to see the Manatees . While your down there, check out dolphins cruising the coast line .

Sunset are great and the candy store is super good. If you whant to rent a jet ski do it before 17hrs

Another great reason to stay here: AT&T Wi-Fi is one of the many amenities here for guests. It’s fast and easy to connect.

The island is beautiful and so is the resort . However, our room in the beach villas has a terrible layout, especially for the bedroom and kitchen. Also, everything in the room is old and outdated.

If you are boating with your dogs, ask Charles to put you in A Dock. I just lift my Yorkies onto the sidewalk next to the boat and they are steps to the grass.

Great AT&T service and free wifi (also from AT&T) that blankets the entire resort .

Take the Captiva Cruises to Cabbage Key for an opportunity to see lots of Dolphins .

Come here every year. Perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Slow-paced island life.

Take time to enjoy the local beach ! 

Rent a bike or just run around the resort , it's just beautiful.

Service is fantastic. Small grocery shop ships store very expensive (Oreos for $6) so bring your own snacks .

Excellent place. You won't be wrong if you stay here.

It's dark, there are no lights and they don't really seem to mind making you wait for an unreliable trolley to the opposite end of the resort (2 miles). Plan accordingly,

Be prepared to drive to the pool and beach . At the main pool they are rigid about moving su loungers to face the sun...it might ruin their display! We preferred the water slide pool...
