YMCA - Oakland

Convenient location, pretty good quality lifting equipment, usually not too crowded in the morning, and also offers some yoga and other classes .

This is a great Y, lots of equipment, friendly staff , several yoga classes offered throughout the day. I'll visit again when I return to Oakland.

Best YMCA in the Bay Area. Only problem is that younger kids get upstairs and use to much of the equipment when you're trying to do a real workout. Also to many people working the front desk.

Staff is super friendly , facilities are clean , and they just upgraded all new equipment!

One of the best aquatics program for kids!

Lap swimmers can be assholes. Instead of kindly asking me to switch lanes, this one guy grabs my arm and starts talking about how he remade the ymca of oakland and deserved my respect.

Sari has a great sense of humor and is super encouraging. Try her body sculpting class . I've not tried her others yet.

Parking validation for members. Just ask at the front desk.

D.O. YMCA is a great place for swimmers . Less expensive than nearby club one + cooler people.
