Some of the best dim sum I've had! Fantastic shrimp fare all round. Not too expensive either! Recommended.
It's your standard cart-style dim sum , so within seconds of sitting down, you'll be bombarded with carts flaunting tasty dumplings and delicious small plates . Read more
Really great! Interesting variety of the dim sum , everything was delicious and great quality. Spacious , clean . Def more affordable and less fancy than Yank Sing or Dragon Beaux, we'll be back!
One of the better dim sum spots in SF. Good price ($20pp), fast turnover, and fully stocked carts make it a nice experience. Peking duck , pork buns , and lettuce wraps are great.
Fantastic dim sum : baked pork buns , pan fried shrimp and chive dumpling , and har gow all great. Not bad wait Sunday, with spacious tables.
We got there after 1 pm on a Saturday and surprisingly there was no wait. Their bbq pork rice rolls and xiaolongbao were great, though they don't have a wide selection of dim sum . Great values overall
Tried various dim sums & other small plates , all tasted great and fresh! Lived the steamed shrimp dumplings and the sezchuan (?) noodles .
One of my favorite restaurants . Always delicious. There are other dim sum places in San Francisco, but City View is best value- they could charge more, but don't!
First time having dim sum , lots of vegetarian friendly options! A little on the pricey side but good for the location.
I love seafood so anything shrimp and crab is amazing. The eggplant with shrimp inside was a lovely surprise!
Family style seating is good for a large group! Tasty dim sum !
The taro puffs are amazing!
Dim sum with "nice" service, which makes it slightly less Chinese. For older people and proper who are less adventurous, I usually take them here.
Dim sum...it's still good has changed over the years. Not as Chinese oriented as in the past. Many ppl are familiar with this spot.
City View has one of the best Peking Duck dishes I've had! I recommend that along with the Pork Sticky rice as must-orders when here.
Chicken lettuce wraps & soup dumplings were my favorite!! Everything was fresh, superb & authentic !
The standards were all great har gow, siu mai , ribs , chicken feet , all good.
Great dim sum ! Good location. And don't worry about crowds - even long lines are seated quickly
So delicious ???? try Tree Treasure and woodear mushrooms ????
Great Dim Sum place, even if you have to wait for a table
Great dim sum across the board. There can be a wait at lunch , but tables turnover quickly.
There are a lot of people waiting, but you can still get a table (especially for two) very quickly.
Shirley likes shrimp everything, but my fave is the pork bun . Also great sesame ball !
Most of the dim sum is very good! 2 of us came at noon on a Saturday and didn’t have to wait
Everything was amazing. EVERYTHING.
The dumplings are so good! They are the best part of the food here.
Seafood dumplings , taro cake , siu Mai , ha gow shrimp dumplings
How to order? Just sit and pick your food when the staffs arrive at your table.
Everything was so delicious! Do not miss the dessert cart!
dim sum is incredible, soup dumpling blew my mind.
great dim sum . a bit pricier , but less greasy than most places. and they have custard buns and shanghai dumplings !
Honey walnut shrimp , and Shanghai soup dumplings are a must!
Can't go wrong, everything we had was great!
The shrimp and chive dumplings were incredible, as were the chicken buns .
Had been hoping for more from the trolley service, siu mai were basic, XLB small and shriveled
Great dim sum and quiet enough for easy conversation.
Amazing. Try the honey prawns and the shanghai dumplings .
Targets white people. Most dishes are still OK yet a bit overpriced. Good for americans afraid to go to an authentic Chinese dim sum .
City View is a couple of blocks from Chinatown and has a fancier vibe, but the dim sum is excellent and the staff is friendly . Servers come around with carts and trays, and we paid about $30 for two.
Try the Xiao Long Bao - Soupy pork dumplings with ginger and awesome.
Great dim sum , especially the egg custard buns .
Great Dim Sum . Everything we had was excellent!
Sesame balls for dessert were spectacular!!
Pretty good dim sum , slightly more pricey than others but worth giving a go.
shrimp siu mai , peking duck , soup dumplings
Dumplings , duck moo-shoo, so much good dim sum !
Some of the best Dim Sum in the city
All options are good, just a little pricey .
Great Dim Sum !
If you don't see what you want coming around, you can ask for it and they'll deliver it to your table (e.g. honey walnut prawns )
