Beautiful as always. Takes the breath away. The stairs and the metro in front are popular meeting spots. You can spot exclusive events at the Opera from here - black cars everywhere

A 15min walk from the Louvre , grab a coffee and muffin (I would avoid Starbucks) and sit on the stairs at the open area in front of the Opera building . These performers are great and deserve your €'s!

A free walking tour leaves from the steps at 10am. Great way to start my trip -- saw some of the major sites and got oriented in the city .

Lots of pickpockets from Romania!!! Be careful!! They fake to be tourists with maps etc and get close to you and your bag even when crossing the road
