The Greenbelt trail located by barton springs pool is great for hiking , but if you're looking for swimming and rock climbing , it is best if you enter the trail near MoPac to avoid a 5 mile hike .
The Greenbelt is great hiking in the middle of the city . There are lots of trees , so the trail is protected from the hot summer heat. A perfect summer get away.
Multiple hiking trails . Rock climbing area . Pets allowed . Saturday morning before 9 am isnt crowded . very close to Mopac .
Nice series of trails , plenty of room for biking as well . Watch for snakes. Crazy parking area along Mopac , don't miss it or you have to drive all the way back around.
This place is just beautiful. My dogs love to explore...there are plenty of areas where you can relax along the creek....

Twin Falls (MoPac access road just south of 360) is a great entry point. Great hikes down to the watering holes... if there were any left!

Don't want to pay the $3 to go to Barton Springs Pool? Want to bring a pet ? Try venturing to the Berton Creek Greenbelt. To avoid MoPac traffic try entering through Zilker Park .

Do not leave anything of value in your car. Put anything you have in the trunk. Break-ins are unfortunately common.
There are so many spots, that you don't have to run with the crowd.
