Lake Chabot Regional Park

Loved the loop around the lake and met Dan that had done it over 150 times. He said to always go towards the dam 1st as the BIG hill is better at the end than to climb at the beginning. He was right!!

Cool place for boating. There are many kinds available for rent. Entrance is free, but parking isn't. Park along the curb to save money.

Parking is $5 with no in and out privileges . There is a dog fee of $2, which I'm okay with if only because I can bring my dog. They also take credit cards , yo!

On the right trail right before the track turns in to dirt road is a beautiful lookout spot on your left. This is how it looks on a foggy morning :) sorry for lack of better shot.

You can go all the way around the lake (9 miles , 4 hours) or just do a small loop around a corner (2 hours)

Beautiful scenery . Many different trails to explore. Room for bbqs and fishing . Great park for all.

Some of the best running stroller running out there if you have a little one (or two) in tow!

You can avoid the $5 parking fee by parking on the street and walking in.

Hike west (clockwise from the Marina ) to the damn and see a Greek temple .

The snack shop at Marina is under new management and seems to be much nicer. Check it out

The shoreline loop looks like it goes around the lake , but in reality does not. Just FYI if u plan to start at one end and finish at the same spot, you will most likely get lost :)
