The Round Top Loop Trail at about 1.5 miles is prefect for little kids and dogs and affords gorgeous and varied views of Mt Diablo , the Bay , and the many valleys in between.
Pick up a map and follow to marker no. 2 for a view of the remains of the crater of the volcano that once reigned lava here... also nice view of Mt . Diablo from that spot.
so many trails ! some are dog/horse/bike friendly , so truly no matter what you’re looking for hike-wise, it’s here! come early for easy parking .
Walking up the Quarry Rd. from Old Tunnel Staging Area is the best-- .8 miles straight on up, then along the ridge to Skyline Staging, back down the BA Ridge / Skyline trail - watch out for poison oak!
Really beautiful park , great for dog owners since most of it is off-leash! :)
It gets cold as $#!+ out here after 6 o clock so prepare warm clothing and don't wear Sandals...
Best views of the city ever as you drive into the park ! Keep a look out. Also bug repellant is not a bad idea
Beautiful views ! No crowds. Easy access ! No mud after the rain.
Very pretty scenic trails ! Amazing view !
So peaceful . Can get pretty windy though. Bring a light hoodie just in case
