Chester city walls consist of a defensive structure built to protect the city of Chester in Cheshire, England. Their construction was started by the Romans when they established the fortress of Deva Victrix between 70 and 80 AD.

Well maintained town walls that are a lovely way to get to see the Chester landmarks . Even after dark the are great views to be seen.
Great place to start when exploring the city . Excellent views across the rooftops .

It greeted us at Chester city centre. Half of it is preserved so the destroyed parts are drawn to show the full perimeters. All of the city is full of historical monuments from the Roman times - Banu Dnzr
It's really amazing there's lots to see,massive building in the heart of Chester,very high ceilings and beautiful stain glass windows,easily spend a few hours there,has a cafe - Neil Griffiths
