This is my regular lunch place even-though my office in Suntec. I think is worth the traveling and the long Q . The noodle sometimes not good but the wanton is to die for.
Shifted next blk to #01-18 Jalan Batu Food Centre, Blk 4A Jalan Batu. Still in the Kampong Arang area. It's called "Kim Kee (Coffee Shop) Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee". Look for d long q when it's open.
Wanton mee : Njoyed it! Noodle was interesting feel & q! Sauce had nice fragrant @ 1st bite. Wantan skin was just d way we like it, silky smooth. Char siew was questionable: slices lack dat caramel
The soup is good. Very sweet and satisfying. The noodle is just a little above average. Go before 11:30 on weekdays to beat the queue.
Certified: the uncle is in da house if the queue is long and winding, if you think you got lucky when the queue is short , look again~
Note: I don't know if it's the chef or the portion, but I will try not to come early in the morning... Taste different...
Awesome wanton mee ..
The soup version is what it is good for, but Singaporeans prefer the dry version. They're both good. Don't forget the dumplings soup
Opening hours: 6am - 2pm daily. Closed on Sundays
Forget about coming in the afternoon, all sold out
People don't know that the other stall is actually better lol
All time favorite
