Step back in time with a stay at the Embassy Suites Charleston - Historic Charleston, SC hotel. Set in the original Citadel Military College in the heart of Charleston's historic downtown and adjacent to Marion Square, this all-suite hotel is on the National Register of Historic Buildings...
337 Meeting St (Meeting & Hutson) Charleston , SC 29403 United States
We've stayed here several times & never disappointed. Rooms are old but well remodeled as they're old rooms from when it was The Citadel. Breakfast is is very good which saves money for other meals.
Come for the manager's special. Stay for the breakfast . Valet parking $18. Within walking distance of everything. Beautiful! Did I mention breakfast ?
The hotel is a little pricey (based on Hilton stays elsewhere), but given its location, wasn't too bad. It is clean & quite, and the staff was friendly . In a nutshell, my stay was what I expected.
Great historic hotel with a story. Get a room with a jacuzzi suite. The climate control is horrible otherwise it's a great hotel in great area.
Ok hotel but there's mind numbing construction happening this week. Not the hotel 's fault, but there's no real solution. Breaking up concrete and this noise shakes the while building. 7:30 am it start
There's a Walgreens catycorner to this hotel across the park . Stock up on water & sunscreen vs buying it from the hotel
Valet is $20 per day and the guys are fast. Self parking goes for $16 and is across the street.
Most expensive stay EVER! Nice room in a classic style. Had a good view overall.
Nice hotel , but the first floor rooms near the entrance are noisy . Valet and self parking available.
It's a mile from the harbor area. If you are planning on walking I would recommend a hotel closer.
As usual, very nice hotel and courteous staff . However when it comes to breakfast , you can find waaaay better. Id rather pay for edible food.
Outstanding breakfast and convenient to everything downtown.
Ok this is a party hotel but you can do better the noise level was bad the night we were there
Breakfast and evening reception
This was by and far the most disappointing and disgusting hotel I have had the misfortune of staying at.
Tom is the best bellman at embassy.
Try the fresh made omelet at breakfast yummy!!
Reg parking 12$ or valet 18$. A day!!!!
Thanks Whitney, for all you do.
Valet parking $18. Good breakfast !
Rooms are dated and overpriced.
Wow.. Worst grits ever... Skip 'em! Such a shock, I am bummed
The front desk personnel - Pete and Casey - are extremely professional and personable. Everyone is friendly and helpful. - Domenick Cilea
Charleston doesn't have a lot of the big chain hotels in great spots or upscale hotels attached to the bigger loyalty programs. This hotel is an exception. Great service and spot. Part of Marriott/SPG - Chris Moore
