Palau de la Música Catalana

Day two - 9am: Have a coffee downstairs at the Palau de la Música Catalana concert hall (0034 902 442 882; palaumusica.org) to sneak a peak at the lobbym or book a guided tour for the whole thing.

The Concerts are nice, no doubt. But the tour is short (50 mins) and expensive with 20 euros. The option with an additional concert can also be visited for free in the Lobby.

Instead of paying for the Tour , go to a Flamenco performance ! You can experience the building and it's acoustics while enjoying some culture (trio de flamenco is really good!!)

Best to see a concert of flamenco or Catalán music and visit by yourself rather than pay for a tour ... Double your pleasure for a few € extra ????

Incredible experience for the eyes and the hears. Far from the touristic musts of Barcelona, this niche theatre has been an amazing surprise.

A must see! And have a drink or snack in the cafe , or better yet watch a concert . But before you go in, walk around the building and be amazed by this work of art !

You can take a tour for 15 euro or 11 with a discount from touristic bus . Also at approximately the same price there are concert tickets where you can enjoy the show and see the beautiful interiors .

This place is just beautiful. The sound goes through the whole building and it resonates in beautiful way. Plus any educational event here seems to be really inspiring. Full of great things!

Just gorgeous. Attended a flamenco thing. Barcelona might not be the “right” place for flamenco , but the show here beat the pants off the flamenco I saw in Sevilla, by a mile.

We enjoyed the visit so much that we booked our tickets for P J Gonzalez (guitarra espanyola). Amazing building, scene and acoustic . One of the best experiences here in Barcelona. Go, go, go !

Less than four blocks from our boutique Barcelona hotel , the Palau de la Música concert hall stages an eclectic array of music and cultural performances ranging from jazz to opera to flamenco .

Every little detail of this building is amazing. Classified as a Unesco World Heritage site.

Imposing building with both great interior and exterior. Next to it there is a monument which is worth observing from all sides

Must! Must! Must! Great example of “modernisme catala” by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner . Go to any of the concerts just to appreciate the interior and the sound!

Amazing place dedicated to the catalan music . We saw Arte Flamenco show there with our 2.5 years old daughter and it was a great moment!

Wonderful interior design ! There are some cool concerts here, tickets are not so expensive .

Spring for good seats; being in the middle of that beautiful hall is more than worth the price of admission. This is the kind of tourist trap you can happily wander into.

Did the tour 4 years ago, it was great! We had a tour above the ceiling and we had a demonstration of the organ . Today, we did the tour again, but the tour was not as good as then and boring! No demo!

16 euros for the self guided tour is a bit too much. Have a look at the entrance take some pictures have a beer or churros with the 16 euros you saved.

We visited Palau de la Musica, attending a guitar concert with Flamengo dancers. Definitely it was worth to see the place and the show.

Even locals dress up to attend their notorious flamenco shows with excellent dancing . A truly unique cultural experience unlike any other that is worth the late-night excursion.

The skylight represents a sun that expands in all directions and bathes with its water nymphs that seem to sing in the water, a lake that contrasts with the warmth of the centre of the structure .

The Palau de la Musica Catalana is a Masterpiece of the Modernist Architecture of Barcelona. It was designed by Lluis Domenèch i Montaner and it was built between 1905 and 1908.

Amazing building. It is a shame the streets are so small so you can't see the whole building at once (but maybe that's a bit of it's charm as well ).

Beautiful building. You don't have to go see a show to look at the inside. There are several tours in English every day.

Don't forget to have a tallat at the coffee shop after a great concert or a tour of the incredible Palau !
