Barcelona’s newest market - recently renovated in 2005, the market has transformed from traditional to a contemporary and modern hub for locals and tourists alike to find delicious Spanish produce.
A fantastic market with a mellower, more local feel than the Boquería. Closed Sundays. Open at 7:30am all other days, closing at 2pm on Mon, 3:30pm on Tue, Wed and Sat, and 8:30pm on Thu and Fri.
Maybe not as famous as La Boqueria , but this market is beautiful from the outside (check the roof) and very pleasant inside. Worth a visit!
I prefer this market than the more touristy one (I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.) it’s real people market with all the goodies, no hype & real people prices.
Everytime you enter with a camera to take pictures in the market a kitten dies! Please be respectul, this market (obviusly) is for buying food, don't bother locals standing and taking photos.
Great market try santa Catarina restaurant , great see food vine and tapas . Grilled calamari with asparagus highly recommended
What a roof! We love the Santa Caterina market , but we love its colourful roof just as much!
Fantastic market . Don’t miss the opportunity to have lunch at La Torna. Delicious and reasonably priced with friendly service .

This market is awesome!!! A lot of awesome produce. I got like 4 different kinds of tomatoes for my salat!!
Great market with tapas bar inside. Perfect place for authentic lunch .
If you're staying in El Born come to the markets for produce. It's open from 8am daily
Spanish food at its best. Try the paella but don't leave without tasting the fideua . Desserts are delicious too.
Not as touristy as La Boqueria , but also less picturesque. You can have a great variety of local products including seafood , meat, oil, and etc.
The architecture is not to miss.
Pretty good and nice place to shop for local produce .
Seafood seafood seafood ! Place is just amazing?
A fantastic market with Santa Catarina restaurant on the corner. More local feel than the other markets .
I was a little bit disappointed by the market since I was expecting it to be more like La Boqueria . If it is closed just stroll around to take a few photos of the building and head off to La Boqueria !
Beautiful market as most in Barcelona, it has the advantage in being in a great location.
Buy your week storage of food here, and forget about supermarkets . Could be a bit touristy , like everything in BCN
A great place to visit if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere than the likes of La Boqueria . Read more

Quite in the back is "torrent" where all fruits and veggies are just a bit better. You can try before buy.
Great market with delicious food, from fruits to olives , to cheese and the best spanisch jambon
Cool market place with bars you can eat and drink at!
Great market . Delicious ham and fruit .
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food????
Great market with tons of fresh meat , fruits and cheese .
Get any table! This place is a must!! Great food! Great ambiance!
Nice, clean market . Not to much crowded as la boqueria , but same sortiment
Great market for stocking up your kitchen. Not so much for takeaway , pre-made food.
Definitely do your grocery shopping here if you've rented a holiday apartment . So much variety.
Very good prices assuming location
Much nicer than boqueria in my opinion...cleaner larger less crowded
Great coffee and breakfast at the cafe in front
I prefer this market than Boqueria. Smaller, less tourists . A couple eateries full of locals. Slows down around 1 pm.
las tomates ????❤️
They close much sooner than 8:30pm on Tuesdays
Local cafe insight - vine&meal around 25€
You can get some pretty cheap fruit .
Good food does not come from frozen batches. If you like fastfood then this is your place. But really staff at McD is less miserable than here
More of a local vibe than Boqueria, less busy and smaller.
Have the pork SERIOUSLY, have #235 or #435, or #430, awe-fricking-some!
A worthy visit during the carnaval!
The best market in Barcelona!!.
Sangria , tuna+guacamole
