Picasso museum must be one of the reasons for art lovers to visit Barcelona! It's the home of early works of Picasso and great place to discover his different approaches to the art .Free for students:)
If you're looking for the artwork that you know of as PICASSO, this isn't the museum for you. This has a large collection of his art before his fame and a handful from Blue Period. Good 2 hour visit.
You won't find the most famous Picasso paintings here but the museum is very nice. It has paintings from all his years that help the guest follow the changes in his style and see his work as a whole.
Great to visit. Gets very busy in the Summer. Tucked away in the neighborhood but once inside they have an extensive array of Picasso art and can see his progression of changes in style.
The queue is horrible so buy prior tickets! But oh my god once you're inside, it's all worth it❤️❤️ surrounded by Picasso's magnificence it's just overwhelming❤️
The art was amazing but the collection was missing some of the big works of Picasso and it was difficult to navigate around. Still a place you have to visit when in Barcelona. Very cool museum shop.
Don't expect to come here and see Picasso's iconic work and style. A lot is focused on his very early works , and some late (before his death) pieces. I suggest coming early to avoid long entry line
Beautiful samples of his early work , and very well curated 😍
Super interesting museum that goes through picassos life stages and entrance into cubism! Get the audio guide for a full experience
A great museum ! Doesn’t have as much as you would expect, but with Picasso being unable to return to his home country , the layout is well done
We got in line on a Sunday at 2:30PM and hit the front of the line just after 3PM for free admission .
Very well located, easily you can spend a day with the exposition . Also the building that hosts the museum is amazing.
Small but stunning collection of Picasso’s artworks. Artist’s photos, history, early paintings and sketches. Worth to visit.
Amazing place to learn about Picasso’s life. Has many works from his life, but doesn’t have many important ones.
If you are near to Museo Picasso, you are in the Born quarter. After visiting the museum , you can relax in one of the many terraces and enjoy good tapas .
If you want information about Picasso his life his artistic development and his work you are on the right place. A very well structured exhibition - only the pink period of Picasso is missing
Probably best to buy your tickets in advance to avoid the wait on line . Tickets are reserved for specific times. Don't be late!
I liked it. It shaws the early time of picasso as an artist . All his notes, letters, blue prints of his painting are on display
A must visited museum in Barcelona. A lot of interesting and no soo 'pop' works of Picasso . Free entrance each sunday after 3 p.m.
Great museum with awesome works! Both temporal exhibition and the collection are worth a visit. You should definitely check it out.
Whether a die-hard art connoisseur, or simply a painter seeking inspiration, everyone will find something stirring here! Don't miss the Picasso museum , host to more than 4,000 pieces by this genius! Read more
Very nice museum , you get the chance to see how Picasso's style evaluated and evolved by time. Must-see in Barcelona.
You can't take photos nor use your mobile phone. I felt there were large gaps missing from the timeline. Many interpretations of (parts of) Diego Velázquez' Las Meninas . I prefer Paris' Musée Picasso.
Amazing building which in itself is worth seeing. Great exhibit of his early work . Worth seeing!!! its related to the time which Picasso spent in Barcelona.
At least on the first Sunday of each month when entrance is free (!), prepare yourself for a long queue. It can take 40-90 minutes to get in, so manage your time. Workday is over @19:50. It's worthy!
I've never been a huge Picasso fan, but this museum shows there's so much more than what you think of as Picasso. The evolution work from his teens is incredible
Iconic! Worth waiting for a Sunday and going for free. Don't forget to book online.
This is where you'll find a wide selection of works of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. The permanent collection includes Man in a Beret and Mountain Landscape. Open Tuesdays-Sundays, 10am-8pm.
Amazing museum ! Reserve at least 2 hours to check all the rooms. Audioguide loaded with cool info. Loved it! You can leave your backpack at the locker room for one euro.
Free every 1st Sunday of the month. Free after 3pm the remaining Sundays. Close to Bubo's (for tapas and French Macarons ) Closed Mondays.
It's well set out and there is a fair amount of his work. If you're after any of his more famous works, you won't them here. 1st Sunday of the month you get in free.
Kind of a must-see when in Spain but I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much work from the 20s-40s, his surrealism glory days. Still lots of great early Picasso. Go early, it gets busy.
One of the premier Picasso museums of the world. Try not to miss it while in Barcelona.
The collection includes a lot of studies and sketches Pablo used to prepare for his works, and seeing the progression from idea to finished product is fascinating.
Avoid the long queues by buying an Articket BCN pass from the Tourist Office in Plaça de Catalunya. You'll need to redeem the voucher they give you at a museum , the closest being CCCB.
Good to understand his trajectory since they have many paintings when he was a teenager. Expensive. €€€
sunday after 15pm free.buy online. It doesn't give you anything about cubism or the art of Picasso. there are gaps between works. If you are interested in Picasso, go see.dont go because it is famous.
Picasso’s early works and a thorough audio tour .
come and enjoy a great collection of famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. This place is marvelous, the works, too.
Don't forget to bring your child/children ,because there is a special ticket office for people with children ...and the best part of it you will skip a huge line !
Great walkthrough of Picasso's early work and evolution. Audio guide available.
It is said that Museu Picasso is in the second place in the world to contain the most Picasso works/paintings right after Musée Picasso in Paris.
Beautiful museum ! So much history and culture.
Beautiful progression of his work, very inspiring 🥰
It's my fourth Picasso visit. You can't see enough of him. Plus there is a special exhibition of Picasso ceramics.
Look out for the displays outside that show the number of tickets available along the queues. There's a limited number of entries (unless you have the Articket BCN pass).
The workers were on strike the day we tried to go. We had bought our tickets online the night before and we have still not seen our refund.
Definitely go there. Picasso works are worth seeing. Don't worry if a queue is long - it goes really fast
So historical it's amazing to see the progression of Picasso's work throughout his life all in one place
Pretty small, but amazing room full of his take on Velazquez's Las Meninas . Free on Sundays after 3, line is scary long but goes quickly!
