The evening standard menu for £15/£20 is seriously good value for money , taste and service. Parsnip & cumin soup / Sardines, Bavette steak/fish pie , and apple crumble all super.

A City of London brunch that can't be beat: 2-courses of fine dining (try the steak or any egg or salmon dish ) for 18 quid. The best treat? Add all-you-can-drink mimomas and bloody marys for 10 exrra.

A modern hotel with great service and reasonable rates for London. Don't stay here if it's your first time to London since it's about 40 minutes on the Tube to most attractions

Try the cod ! I think it's delicious. Love the combination of the fresh flaky white meat, sweetness from sultanas, texture of pine nuts and the saltiness from the light cheese sauce ; just divine:-)

The bar is very stylish ! A bit of a confused art mix with over-priced cocktails , but quiet and enjoyable at weekends.

Come here at off-peak times, like mid-afternoon, if you want to find somewhere in the city that's quiet and luxurious to sit & plan world domination

Gorgeous discreetly elegant hotel just between Liverpool Street and Moorgate. Bar & Restaurant worth a visit of an evening.

Good service at the bar , nice selection of wines . Not cheap , but not crazy prices either. Food is very good.

A little piece of 'cool' in the City , especially in the Secret Garden after work on a Friday. Good DJs too :)
