An original “Made in Ximending ” food stop: a stand-up noodle shop , serving thin noodles (‘misua’ or ‘mee sua ’) in a thick broth with condiments. Add chilli/garlic/vinegar to your preference. Just ????!
The line 's quick. Make sure you look behind you for the chili , garlic and vinegar station. A scoop or two of each does amazing things.
U can't claim u visiting XiMenDing without eating the famous 阿宗面线! And u must add galic and the spicy special chilli sauce to go with it. I love the chewy pig intestine ! It's usually very crowded .
Tasty flour rice noodles pair with some homemade chilli and vinegar! Great to have during the cold weather, however there is pork in it too, so for those who don’t like pork , do take note.
Go for it!!Best esp in cold rainy weather! Don’t think twice! Fast moving queue, Personally I MUST add : 3 spoons of condiments EACH! Just don’t forget to add!
Famous for a good reason. If you come in the evening, be prepared to wait. It’s even better if you can come here in the morning. The line will be significantly shorter.
The best oyster vermicelli in the world and I mean that literally. Chili , garlic , and vinegar are free so go nuts .
Love love love! Must try and don't get turned off by the long queue as the queue moves pretty quickly and it's worth the wait!
Traditional Taiwanese noodles with great texture and flavor! Lines are long with locals but moves fast. Take out only.
gotta try this. the noodle , soup , vinegar, and chili sauce combination is wonderful. If you're a fan of cilantro you'll love it too. if not you can ask them to leave it out.
At first I thought it was oh ah mee sua(oyster vermicelli ). It's actually not. It's vermicelli with chicken skin . It tastes good, not to forget to add vinegar, garlic and chili .
Worth a try for the mee sua , do remember to put abit of the chilly sauce to give some extra kick to your tastebud. It doesnt have oyster , just parsley and intestine
A must go for tourists . They recently made the change from their classic orange and green bowls to paper bowls. Much easier to hold but kinda lost out on the experience of stand up eating.
Best mee-suah I ever had! I usually don't eat pork intestines but the one here is so chewy! Double thumbs up! ????????????????
A cult classic , don't forget to add all the condiments. The hot sauce is strong so beware.
Don't get excited with the hot sauce , one scoop is enough. I added 3 and my lips were set on fire and my nose started running (I was a Sh*t show)....But the Noodle Soup was AMAZING!!!!
Good noodle consistency and broth flavor. A bit on the salty side but that could've been due to the sauces we added ourselves.
Stand up noodle shop . Remember to add the garlic , vinegar and chilli to you bowl of noodles . Best eaten on a cold day.
Famous. Lots of ppl were here eating. More of a take out place. 2 sizes only ~ small (N.T.$50) or large (N.T.$65). It's good but not blow my mind good but the intestines were very tasty.
Make it your first stop when you’re in Taiwan. A good soup for the cold weather ????????????????????????????
A meh experience. Sure, lots of people love it and queue for it. I came, I tried, moving on!!!
Long but fast-moving queue for traditional oyster noodles . Small bowl for TWD50 and big for TWD65. Rem to put their various condiments and chilli into the noodles .
Must try this Taiwanese local food when you're nearby. You wouldn't find same taste in other places.
Stand & Eat stall? Worth the wait and Quee! For balance taste, try this steps : 2 spoon of Chili , 4 spoon of Garlic & 2 spoon of Vinegar. Itadakimas! ^^
If you need something easy between shopping. Recommend for this delicious dish.
Super thick broth with oysters and offal . Delicious street food . Will most likely have to eat standing.
Though super yummy, grab a bowl to share and save room for other snacks in the area.
My <3! Had 3 times during my 4 nights stay in Taipei. Love the chilli too. Best of the best!
Eventhough some said over-rated. But still recommended. The taste is strong and tasty!
one of the best mian sian in taipei!! pics at <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.eatprayflying.com/taiwan-taipei-xi-men-ding-%E8%A5%BF%E9%96%80%E7%94%BA/"target="_blank" data-sig="HOZ6Dl5qSmENf2v0M6IXbHpxEwA=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://www.eatprayflying.com/taiwan-taipei-xi-men-ding-%E8%A5%BF%E9%96%80%E7%94%BA/</a>
Eat and go concept. Just stand around and order a small bowl for taste and leave your stomach for more food
Don't understand the hype. Broth was salty and well honestly, it wasn't that great for me. Lines are long but they get short fast. Alot of people/tourists stand in front of the place to eat
It’s a good bowl of mee sua but the intestines are not braised and on the chewy side.
A must every year! So good! Effing good chilli too!
Still the best flour rice noodle in Taipei !! Hehehe ! Must eat when you come to Ximending ! ????
Eat with their chili . Taste better with their special chili . But be careful, it is super spicy
noodle is very good taste. add garlic and vinegar but not spicy if u dont wanna get tears.
Super delicious! Enjoy while it's hot and don't forget to add chili !
Was not a fan of mee sua before, but this totally changed my view . Do try it and add chilli to it!
Simple, no frills. You can add chili sauce , garlic sauce , and black vinegar. Slurp it up standing and enjoy!
The chilli superb! Everything is nice and delicious, and cheap !
Best thing in ximending . Add chili and garlic !
Oyster mee Sua ! The floor noodle is not the usually noodle I’m expecting. Pretty good!
Delicious! Remember to add the condiments which enhanced the taste of the oyster mee sua .
Small bowl is good enough. Add some garlic and vinegar . It's not oyster mee sua , but rather, 大腸麵線
Pork intestine mee sua whereby a long queue is expected & full of tourists eater.
Famous rice vermicelli with oysters & pig intestine. Street stall. Stand & eat.
very yummy! 猪肠 and the flavorful 面线 is the beeeeessssst!
an iconic local food in taiwan. Must try!!!
Yummy and addictive!!!! Don't you ever miss this rice-noodle stand when you hit the busy streets of Taipei.
Cosy and comfortable. Great to hangout after a long walk around Ximending area. Try the lemon tart with rose fancy tea latte for some tea time or after dinner dessert. - Angeline Teoh
The fried chicken is still the best in the area and be prepared for a wait as there is generally a long queue. - Celine Ong
risotto done right! came to taipei early 2000s and they were already doing brisk business. fast fwd today, they are still here and i finally got the chance to try it. - Piccy Loke
Little hole-in-the-wall off Yongkang. Get the beef & tendon noodles. $240NTD and so worth it. - Kim Pham
half tendon half beef (半筋半肉) is really good. broth is perfect on its own. - Byron Wong
Insanely good beef noodles. The broth the meat, the noodles, its all just delicious. 90$ a bowl. Amazing - Andre Mohr
Boba itself is supper good. The signature brown sugar is way too sweet. ask for 25% sweetness. - Sawit K.
Very historical building in Taiwan - soak in the history and atmosphere, while enjoying the local home-made crafts sold in the market area outside. - Elizabeth Lee
Delicious shaved milk ice!!! It's not too sweet unless you add a sweet topping. Mango is classic but I loved the more unusual corn and peanut - Thomas Gonzales
