A gem in Amsterdam: an artisanal brewery in an old windmill where you can taste original, home-made beers . A real delight!
Very pleasant beer selections and tasting options. Accompanied by great nibbles in the form of cheese and sausages . Don't come on an empty stomach if you plan to taste every beer .
You can get their beers in many pubs and supermarkets , but they taste best when enjoyed on site at the brewery-restaurant. A must visit -place in the heart of the city to all craft beer lovers.
This is one of my favorite places to day drink in Amsterdam. Get a flight of beers , pick your fav to have next, and enjoy the sun on the terrace . Also get the grillworst.
I went early on a Friday evening and really enjoyed it, a popular spot for friendly locals with a great range of beers . Oh, and there's a massive bloody windmill in the middle of it, cheers!
Great waterhole for craft beer lovers at this brewery that's been around since 1985. Take the guidef tour if it's your first time, otherwise just hang back and drink from the great range of beer .
Want to know what was the first? The egg or the ostrich? Super funny and interesting tour about one of the best beers brewed in Netherlands! 3:30pm friday, saturday, sunday in english, free beer
Try all beers from this Amsterdam brewery . Nice place, especially when the sun is at the terrace . Lots of locals, mixed with expats and tourists on yellow bikes and from the hop on bus .
One of the best Dutch breweries and a good place to order the taster which is 5 small beers from their range for a little under 10e. Ask for it, it's not on the menu . To crowded on the weekend though.
Lovely place. A classic for Amsterdam. They serve 8 beers on tap , u can try 4 of them w a tasting set. Prices r reasonable. They have bar food as well , salumeria was delicious ????
He location in a mill is obviously beautiful. Beers are average Belgian styled ones. The flight is fixed 5 basic beers , on top of that a few more on tap . Paasij was a tasty one.
Authentic atmosphere in the old windmill . The beers are good, they have several ales on tap , some speciality beer and some rare bottles. It's super nice vibe outside when it's warm
Best beer in Amsterdam, & a great place to enjoy it outdoors on tables under the Windmill . Highly recommend the IPA and also the Columbus if you like strong Belgian beer . Cheese plate & Eggs or death.
Great local beer , lots of people and extremely nice staff . Get a cheese platter and enjoy your evening. You can also buy a t-shirt with the brewery logo, if you like it as much as I do :)
This is a really cool place - if you're going to grab a beer in Amsterdam, you might as well sit down in an old windmill turned brewery on the banks of a canal . Plus their IPA is delicious.
Amazing spot just a little out of the city centre, populated mostly by locals. Great place to enjoy a wonderful selection of craft beer and tuck into some very Dutch bar snacks .
Nice beer garden , tasty bar snacks and pretty good craft beers . It was good to get a break from the standard beers you'll find everywhere else in Amsterdam.
Brouwerij 't IJ (The IJ Brewery ) is a small brewery in Amsterdam next to the De Gooyer windmill . The brewery allows tours and tastings, and has a pub with an outdoor terrace .
Awesome brewery thats under a windmill . Great place to have a beer outside. Not a full food menu from what I could tell, but they did have tasty sausages and cheeses to snack on.
Very nice brewery with several beers made by them at good price (like 2-3€). And it's on a mill ! Oh, try the Zatte !
Cool brewery with great and cheap beers ! Colombus is my favorite. But try them all, it's worth it. Also try the delicious cheese !
Awesome brewery , starting from the windmill to the awesome beers . Try all of them, but Zatte is one of the best.
Good beer here. I had the IPA which was quite nice. Really keeps up with the American stuff. Nice atmosphere too, it's not that common to drink in a beergarden under a Dutch windmill . Awesome!
Nice locally brewed beers ! And great snacks . Although it is starting to get very crowded with tourist , makes it hard to get a table
Very cool brewery with delicious beer in a windmill . Also has a great outside space for sunny days
A brewery in a windmill , I mean how much more Dutch could you get? The pub shuts at 8pm so make sure you visit Brouwerij ‘t IJ in the day.
Nice atmosphere, and good value for money when it comes to beer and snacks . €4,50 for a short tour of the brewery (selected days only) and a complimentary beer isn't half-bad either.
Very crowded , hipster brewery , nice hospitality , beautiful setting outside the city centre at the water and windmill .. But foremost: great beers ! Top location in Amsterdam
Amazing brewery in Amsterdam with great craft beer and a nice outdoor seating under a big windmill . No food only small bites and appetizers .
A must go beer brewery in amsterdam . Lively , not touristy at all. A great spot. Don't miss it
Order their Beer Sampler and a mixed Cheese & Salami Platter, you gonna love it!
Sampler is the way to go. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Great (and cheap !) beer . However, there are quite a lot of tourists . If you're taking the tour , make sure to be there at least an hour in advance. It's really popular!
Former public bath - the details are still visible. A little bit crowdy on Fridays but worth visiting. Best beer in Amsterdam.
Excellent, local (and cheap ) beer . Great vibe. Nice decor. Big terrace . Best stop for happy-hours. Non-touristy. Buy an egg for 60 cents or a plate of cheese !
I really liked the Zatte . Great place, a little out of the city but easy to get to. Staff very helpful.
They banned stag parties, which is a major plus. If you’re interested in the tour , be onsite when the tickets go on sale; it sells out fast!
Great brewery with great beers . Some standard all year round (Columbus!) as seasonal beers (Dubbelbock, IJndejaars, Paasij). Lovely terrace as well .
No tours during the week. Beer flights €10 for 5 tastings and pints are around €3. Ijwit (6.5%) and Zatte (8%) were my favorites. Small snacks available.
Might be packed sometimes, but worth coming. Probably a single place worth visiting in the neighborhood :D try cheese+wurst plate. Goes really well with beer .
Absolutely tasty beers . Super busy on a Friday night. A big patio . Nice prices and effective service. It's easy to find... just look for a huge windmill .
Cool place, all different kinds of special bears and also suasages to eat with them. No Cola and Fanta here: pear or apple juice it is. Expensive, but worth it!
Must-visit! A very nice brewery by the tallest mill in Amsterdam. Good beer to enjoy. Crowded as a good place should be
Super cheap organic beer and decent snacks , the bartenders are nice and know a lot about beer .????
Excellent place to try out some of Amsterdam's best microbrews . Make sure you order some cheese to pair with your beers .
Great place to see in Amsterdam. Amazing beer and vibe. Try the IPA in a sunny afternoon!
So much beer and not enough time. They also serve wine if you don't like beer . Gets really packed out at the weekends especially when the weather is nice
Guided brewery tours , bar food and, obviously, lots of craft beers . Can get crowded .
One of the more traditional breweries in the Netherlands. On Summer, the Garden outside is perfect to enjoy their Beers .
A local Amsterdam Beer Brewery located next to a typical Dutch windmill . My favorite beer is the IJwit . Try it yourself when you go there.
Great music , beer and kitchen! This place is a must-try when you are in Amsterdam. - Anna Kroo
The Pilsner is great, really smooth. The classic burger is delicious too. - Jonathan Gibson
Too bad this place closed down! Cool, alternative vibe. Great to relax with a drink near the water or to chill here with your boat. The have hosted many great events and parties - Lai van Beek
Food is delicious and plentiful, especially when paired with the large beer selection. - Emily L
