Really great all around—great service, drinks, carne asade was flavorful. Love the decor—colorful and really set the mood :)

Cindy Tong

Great service. Other reviewers have commented on the "rude host ." There is often a line , so the host can be curt. The horchata is excellent. Try the mission burrito with beef and chicken mixed!

Coralie Sabin

The empalmada was my favorite! Really similar to a quesadilla : tortillas with chicken and cheese inside, more cheese on top and guacamole . Yum!! Huge dinner plates!

Sam Kortekaas

I just love this place. Came here the first time I visited my fam. in sf and from then I try to drop by every time I'm visiting sf.

Fernando Arrais

Amazing place. Order the sausage Gorditas , they are delicious. Ohh, they have Cerveza Quilmes, an amazing Argentinian lager .

Alicia Blair

Be ready to wait for a table this place is small and always packed. They have good Mexican cuisine , fun decor , and is good for family dinners .

Carlos Lazo

Love # 14. Huge plate! Chicken tamale , taco and enchilada . There's always leftovers. So so good..

Kristen Furtado

Had the chicken enchilada and taco combo . Lots of food, and it was cheap ! Yummy!

Anything you order here is going to be truly authentic . Don't forget the green mild salsa !

Colin Sparks

Nice and bizarre! The salsa is quite amazing! One of my favorites!

Charles

weakest margaritas ever! if you want a great selection of beer this is the place, if you want a strong (read good) margarita go somewhere else or... make your own! :D

Some of the better Mexican food in SF! Try the Mole !!!

Julian MacDonnell

They have some of the best soup and salsa verde in the city . Worth the wait.

Steve Dardarian

This is my old stand-by I take out of town friends to. The food is good/consistent & usually plenty of parking in W. Portal.

Kevin Brooks

One of the best little places in West Portal. Agave margaritas are unique and tasty.

Kevin Garcia

Everything is excellent...even the decor!

Tim Pursell

Moles . They have three. I'd swim a river for the peanut Mole enchiladas .

Sean Sheppard

Do dinner early on the weekends because this place gets busy.

Don Otvos

Always ask for the green salsa !

Michael M.

The red salsa has a but of kick to it; they have a nice, mild green salsa if you request it.

Anthony James

Good food, great spicy salsa , good service . Try to sit in claudias section, she is the pretty little Mexican girl

Nick Ryan

Fret not, vegetarians : The spinach enchiladas are great.

Don't forget to get your Beers of the World card punched.

Everything is good here

El Toreador served completely FLAVORLESS food. I had a taco & tostada platter w a margarita . the margarita was awful and WEAK. the only good thing here was the guacamole . never going here again.

Carlos Lazo

Food is very good. The place is kind of cramped. Get there too late and end up waiting.

Cynthia Gaedy Davidson

My son wants to go back here soon. The decor is amazing. :)

The mole 's are to die for.

Service isn't the most friendly but food is decent. What's cool is all the Mexican art and crafts hanging from the ceiling. Been around forever.

Nachos are ok... Just ok.

Trucho

A margarita pitcher for 2 = 4 margaritas each.

Trucho

Salsa is delish!
