This is a very popular & small restaurant . No cash. No reservations . On Fri-Sat, arrive by 6:30pm before it gets packed. The Hamachi Truffle appetizer & Flaming Sea Bass are must haves! Drooling!
Would recommend the flaming sea bass , hamachi truffle , Himalayan trout , and beastie boy roll in that order. Great place for a date. Also highly recommend the $5 Hello Kitty martini !
Start with the Waldo Carpaccio (go off menu and ask, it's worth it) & Hamachi Truffle , and follow those up with the Himalayan Trout , Flaming Sea Bass , and Boombox (sans banana...thank me later).
Delicious sushi !!! Godzilla roll is a must. Hello kitty $5 saketini is tasty. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Overall, small place with good vibes and great music .
The best sushi experience I've ever had. All house special rolls are simply delicious and sake is great as well . I will come back for more.
One of the three best sushi shops in SF. Get the obligatory Flaming Seabass .
Flaming Seabass is Must Have. Salmon is outstandingly fresh and tender, therefore any roll with salmon would be a great choice.
The sushi here is the definition of fresh - really sets it on another level. Try the Hamachi Whiteout roll and the Flaming Seabass roll. The butterfish here is heavenly as well !
Very popular spot so either make reservations or come early and sit at the bar . Hamachi truffle is delicious and the uni + quail egg is a must for uni fans.
One of the best sushi spots in SF. You can't go wrong with anything here but I highly recommend the Hamachi truffle app , the Flaming Sea Bass roll and the Godzilla roll .
Get the White Out and the Flaming Seabass ! You won't be disappointed! Some of the best sushi in SF!
Flaming Sea Bass roll is a definite when going here. Smaller groups and a longer wait but there’s a wine bar across the street to grab a drink beforehand.
Everything we had was delicious. I used to like Sushi Groove but its obvious this place is a passion project. Lots of care with fabulous ingredients.
Trout . Get it. Honestly the best sushi I’ve had in a while.
Best sushi in SF! The service is amazing! Seat on the bar and made sushi chef friends :)
You have to tried the flaming seabass and white out. One of the best sushi places in SF! So good!
"Boom box" was the only thing that worth staying in the line for an hour. I wouldn't do it again but it is truly one the best sushi places in San Francisco!
The White Out roll was fantastic. Also really liked the Himalayan Trout .
The trout sashimi lain across a sturdy piece of pink Himalayan salt is the way to go. Everything else is not memorable. Small space, a little dark, fine service.
Get here when it opens as the wait list fills up fast. The Boom Box roll is truly scrumtrulescent but a mouthful (#ThatsWhatSheSaid)
Give the Boom Box a try with banana . Seriously the best roll I've had in years! Rest is amazing as well .
The flaming seabass and ankimo are a must! Give the ya man and boom box rolls a look too
The Flaming Seabass is on point. Sushi/Bi Bim Bap!
Flaming sea bass was a little overrated. Sashimi was really good, and in general the fish was super fresh.
Check out the wine bar close by because you will wait, but ITS WORTH IT! Awesome sushi and reasonable price
Fun date night/girlfriend dinner spot. Really interesting sushi rolls .
Fun spot. Get the flaming sea bass roll and hamachi
Hands down my new favorite sushi spot in SF. The red & yellow roll is divine.
Amazing, unique dishes! Worth the wait! ????
House made pickeled ginger and fresh brewed low sodium soy sauce !
Pretty good California style sushi . Not sure if I like it as much as Sushi Groove which was in that space before.
This place was excellent! Delicious rolls--- especially the flaming sea bass roll
Best Sushi in San Francisco. Great food, great servicy and the owner is a lovely girl!
Go in a group and sit at the large table in the private-ish area
Start with the chips n dip
Takes a long time to get a seat but delicious
Incredible sushi all around. T and Tom will take good care of you.
Hamachi Sashimi and White Out Special. And flaming salmon (literally on fire).
Service is not the best (servers are not very friendly and make it seem like a hassle to serve you and rush you in and out), but the sushi is delicious. Kinda worth dealing with snotty waiters .
One of my favorite sushi joints in the city :)
Ya man roll, red dragon and salmon basil !
Hamachi truffle app and flaming sea bass roll won't disappoint
Ya man, albacore tataki and the flaming seabass
Grilled sea bass is amazing
Butterfish with garlic is quite good
$2 sake bombs all night!
Flaming sea bass , do it. You're welcome
It's always happy hour . $2 Sake bombs .
Incredibly uninterested maitr d who told us we'd have a table min 40min but we still didn't after an hour. There was clearly another 30min wait. We had to go to be movie .
Heed the warning
Best sushi in sf. Blue fin tuna is comparable to what I've had in Tokyo. - David Oda
Really great for happy hour or late night sushi. After Equinox I come in for a quick classic roll (only $7) their miso mushroom soup. ❤️ The servers are really nice and the prices are reasonable. - H H
The eel donburri, beef udon and seared salmon roll were very good! - Kaylen Parker
Best banana ice cream I've ever tasted. Get it with the chewy chocolate. Insanely good. - Mark Westall
Good selection of wine, tasty food, good variety of cheese... Friendly & competent staff. It's one of the very few places that has decent bresaola! - Vic Avery
Nutella rice pudding is super refreshing when the sun is out. Love this little place! - Helen Evans
