Friendly staff , fantastic customer service! I got up graded to a suite no charge, simply because the room I had reserved wasn't ready when I came! They had fantastic dinner recommendations as well
Beautiful historic hotel . The bathrooms might be small, but with a city like Charleston, you shouldn't be staying in your room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Will be back!
Jeff at concierge was a fantastic help! We're very happy with the room and location. We were upgraded upon arriving early. :) wifi is not a powerful enough signal to reach our top floor room.
Planning your day? Jeff the concierge is the knowledgeable and personable go to. The Internet is good too, but there is no signal on the higher floors!
Run or walk down Rutledge to the Harbor . Beautiful! BTW, I'm hiring a social media maven http://fishervista.com/about/jobs/ #collab14
Our new favorite hotel in Charleston! Fitness center was well-equipped. Room was clean and well-our together. Two bathrooms !!
Rooms on higher floor on Calhoun St side may not have view of the square, but are very quiet . Give yourself 5-7 mins for the elevators . Great staff .
Luxurious hotel that offers comfortable rooms with beautiful views . I didn't have any noise that others may have experienced. Must eat at the Swamp Fox restaurant !
Great place to stay! The Swamp Fox has complimentary appetizers between 5-7pm. Staff is so friendly and accommodating!
Lucy at the front desk is super awesome! So is the young general manager who's name it didn't manage to get.
Another great reason to stay here: AT&T Wi-Fi is one of the many amenities here for guests. It’s fast and easy to connect.
Church bells ringing, housekeeping repeatedly knocking on the door, ancient elevator , and the old man at the concierge table couldn't even make a decent dinner recommendation !
The valets are GREAT here - ask them to call you a pedicab for a fun ride around the city or to dinner . Also ask the concierge staff for suggestions for dinner , tours , etc - they really know the city !
Great location staff always accommodating and willing to assist!
Great hotel , booked thru Hotel Tonight App... AND.... Got upgraded when we checked in :)
Great room. Two bathrooms . Quiet . Awesome view . Great for kids.
I've stayed twice & I thoroughly enjoy myself every time
Right across from Marion Square and at the north end of King Street's shopping, dining and art corridor.
Nice bathrooms to use if you find yourself in the nearby Starbucks.
Wonderful hotel that like us, is locally owned and operated. Another bonus, we're just a block away down King on George Street.
The bar is great. The food is a little pricey .
What an adorable hotel . Will be back. The valet and staff are awesome

A decent bargain in a good location but if you're looking for something special this is not your place.
Very convenient location.
Great location but could use a little bit of updating in the rooms.
Rooms are a little musty, and small for this area.
Great location and service...musty rooms and no room fridge
Fantastic hotel !
Booked the room, got there and we were upgraded to this! 1 a/c unit didn't work, while the other one spent hours leaking! Solution, give us towels to put down! room now smells like cat piss!
Don't expect many frills in the room, this is an old hotel , really nice staff . Expensive for the amount of square footage the room actually is. My home closet might be bigger.
Ask for a room overlooking the square!
Great lobby for work
here for a convention , it started at 12 but they didn't have our room ready yet! Drove all morning and then had to go to the beginning of the convention feeling nasty! they should have had them ready.
Beautiful.
If you need a good night's rest make sure to ask for a quiet room on a high floor - Calhoun St And King in a historic hotel is noisier than NYC!
The people in the next room are so loud ! Guest services is very polite though
Nice old fashioned hotel and a great location but the WiFi sucks big time
Great views
It's early, or late, and summer, or spring, or.... this ends badly either way
Definitely not a high-end hotel . Stay at the Doubletree instead. You will get your money's worth there.
Hotel needs a thorough renovation. Rooms before renovation were unpleasant. The conference areas are uncomfortable.
Gold ballroom is beautiful
Way over priced hotel . Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, bathroom is even smaller. Elevators take forever.
Slow elevators , small room and minuscule bathroom . Noisy room - road noise & ice maker. Staff is friendly , but not a good place to be with kids.
Bathrooms are teeny tiny
Shrimp and grits . Outstanding.
Steer clear of room 1018. Black mold on the ceiling. Yuck!
Shrimp and grits are incredible! - Jayne Lominac Thompson
Amazing place! The rooms are second to none! - Travis Simpson
Courtyard view from our room. Comfy beds and great service. - Caroline Cucuel
All rooms are oceanfront so the views are amazing. Our room was clean & comfortable. The staff was super friendly and WiFi was no problem at all even with our 6 devices connected. 2yrs in a row ???????? - Ginger Lawson
love the farmers market! great place to spread a blanket and catch some sun, read a book, walk the dog - anything! well kept & safe! - allison k
