Pretty much everything here is good. Laksa really nice - Pad * really well done. Lunch sets are lovely and well priced. Dishes are about the right size and family style with some will work.
Possibly my favorite restaurant ever. The environment is incredible, nice lighting, beautiful decorations and the food is some of the best Thai I've had. Fave thing is the chicken dumplings
A two-story eatery in Hell's Kitchen serving up solid Thai and Vietnamese dishes . Their lunch special , with includes two courses for $9, can't be beat.
Awesome place. Food delicious. Had calamari , eggplant , duck noodle , and loved it all. Cannot wait to go back. HAPPY HOUR ???? DRINKS...
The papaya salad , the pad Thai and all the appetisers we got were divine. Really enjoyed the meal and it was worth the walking. Quite affordable as well given the alternative Thai options in the area.
The pad thai comes garnished with a delicious poached egg which makes you feel way less guilty about being an un-adventurous, closed-minded turd who only ever orders pad thai .
Great Tequila shots appetizers very good it was just a night with a wonderful friend I will definitely go back soon
There's no shortage of good Thai restaurants in Hells Kitchen, but OBAO stands out both with its spacious venue and its inclusion of Vietnamese classics. I recommend the Bun
Great atmosphere, affordable prices , and the drunken noodles are on point. Great wine selection too, which is rare for a Thai restaurant .
Pho Bo was awesome. Got the grilled eggplant based on others' comments - delicious, but a lot for one person. Decent wine list .
Get the beef pho , containing thin-sliced rare beef , braised brisket , rice noodles and ginger anise beef broth . Michelin recommended.
Old Ember Room . New decor touches. Some favorite and new dishes. Food was delicious, especially the Calamari app . Friendly and service focused staff . Unique specialty cocktail drinks.
Spare Ribs on Sugar Cane Skewers were a phenomenal WIN. Makes for a great midday snack . Thai iced tea was perfectly creamy and sweet.
I think everything is good here, but I thought the Clay Pot Catfish and Japanese eggplant dishes were amazing
Get the Singapore Laksa -- really hits the spot on a cold day. Just the right combo of curry , coconut milk , shrimp , spicy pepper flakes and pork belly : winning combo.
New name. Formerly known as the ember room . Some of the known entrees have stayed on the menu but they have added Vietnamese selections. Service and food were amazing. Highly recommend.
Good local Asian fusion , nice design atmosphere. Vegetarian options : papaya salad and eggplant tofu are good. They have a full bar and good looking staff .
Amazing food, drinks and great bartenders . Any of the fried rices selections is delicous. Pad Thai was ok. Great atmosphere and design. Very cool place!
papaya pad thai is a unique spin to the traditional dish . don't forget to order a side of 7-spice fries .
Pad see Ew tasted a bit burnt but the pork belly salad and sambal calamari were amazing!!!! Not super spicy though and they do have non-thai items on the menu i.e. Viet, Singaporean food etc
A friend took me here for a birthday dinner and the staff was wonderful. Out waiter had a great sense of humor and even brought over a complimentary dessert to celebrate
Delicious cocktail menu . The massaman steak curry , Japanese grilled eggplant , and Bok Choy with garlic were all fantastic.
Tasty, well-curated selection which goes slightly beyond the standard Thai fare. Execution is mixed. Try V[IV] for a more authentic set of Northern Thai options.
Highly recommend the short ribs and the fish clay pot . Service can be slow at times - getting a table is worth the wait
Love the decor! Get the Bun (dry vermicelli noodles ) with Flank Steak and fresh coconut juice .
This isn't the best Thai joint in the neighborhood , but the food is decent, the service is fast and hospitable , and there's plenty of seating – a good choice when you need a quick but sit-down bite.
fancy Thai/Vietnamese restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. perfect location for waiting shows or movies near Midtown. the food is pretty awesome.
Food was delicious. Try the pork chop .
Really good food and cocktails . Loved the spare ribs with the sugar cane !
I ordered the spare ribs , the spring rolls and the chicken curry . Everything was excelent! Big portions and good price as well .
One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Everything is amazing.
Spare ribs , grilled eggplant , and oven roasted chicken are great, but you'll have to sit thru a playlist of painfully sappy pop hits from 1997.
Great space and happy hour prices. Food is solid. Kimchi fries (yum but expensive for what they are), luc loc lac was tasty, the pho was OK (not distinctive), pad see yiew was good.
Pastrami meatballs are awesome. Food is cheap , drinks are great atmosphere is awesome. And you can knock 20% off your full bill with foodfan select
Tom yum soup and pad Thai , every time. Nice staff .
Order the crispy pork belly - caramelized sliced pork belly and pickled vegetables .
Yummy inexpensive lunch and nice decor, will come again
The tofu/eggplant, kimchi potatoes , fried calamari not the best pad Thai , very overlooked, no wifi good 30 box white wine
Chef Preyanet Pongsuwan of OBAO NY uses shredded green papaya instead of noodles for this non-traditional pad Thai . Read more
This place is a little confused as to whether it's Thai or Vietnamese. I tend to like the Vietnamese side a little more. The pad Thai is very average.
Upgraded version of Ember Room (the restaurant that occupied the space before). Cashew chili chicken is amazing!
I come here just to eat the khao soi noodles ! !! Everything is tastyyy
Came for late lunch , pretty busy but pad see ew was good, fun cocktail drinks for GNO
The cashew chili chicken is crunch, mildy-seasoned, and served with rice .
Super friendly staff and $3 draft beers at happy hour . What's not to like?
I came here because others said this place had huge servings of pho . I'm a 105 lb little girl. if I can finish the entire bowl of pho and 6 spring rolls in one sitting, it ain't huge. disappointing.
The staff is really friendly and inviting. Good value . Get the fresh shrimp rolls .
The eight dollar lunch special is the best! Appetizer and entree yumm
The holy basil chicken was a flavor explosion! Sooooooo good.
Crispy pork belly and eggplant appetizers . Then get beef luclak or pho bo soup
Omg......delicious food at an unbelievably low price. Worth stopping by. - Peter Mazzola
The Steamed Fresh Roll is amazing. Slightly sweet. Good as both a snack and dessert. - Stephen Weber
