Wong Kei 旺記 is Cantonese Chinese. 旺Wong is popular and 記Kei is the Chinese version of 's. 記 is pronounced like "Gay" in Cantonese but locals pronounce Kei like "Key" in English (記 is"Ji" in Mandarin)
Cheap food ! Cash only . Don't ask for ice w/ drink or extra fried egg w/ your dish or you'll get told off! :p Salt & pepper pork chop is excellent on a good day. Beef brisket noodle soup , cheap & good
I’m happy to say that the one of a kind atmosphere of Wong Kei is alive and well after all the years I’ve been visiting. Dry shredded chilli beef is great.
Iconic eatery . A lifesaver when you’re low on funds. CASH ONLY | NO CREDIT CARDS | NO CHEQUES. Enhance your experience by muttering ‘debit card’ or ‘Apple Pay’. Service with a frown and a barb... ????
One of the best meals in London - Sweet & Sour chicken on white rice . Consistently fantastic. Get the dish that comes with rice for ~£5 and good size. Bottomless tea too!
Barbecue pork , crispy pork or roast duck on rice . Salt and chilli fried pork chop . Brisket rice . Wanton noodle soup . Mixed seafood crispy noodles .
Bland atmosphere but excellent food for the price! Cold cuts of roasted pork and belly. Sechuan shrimp , seafood noodles and beef fried rice . Cash only though!
Worst food ever tried!!I've had the meat and rice dish and the meat was awfully greasy and chewy. They also never bothered to bring one of the dishes we've ordered, as they were "too busy". Neveragain
The fried rice (either shredded chicken or minced beef ) is really good. Reminds me of being in Hong Kong
If you are alone, you will be asked to join any table at the ground floor. Otherwise upstairs or downstairs. They offer free Chinese tea . No service charge added to your bill. Authentic Chinese food !
Delicious Chinese food and cheap ! Don't be put off by the look of it from outside, upstairs it's very cosy.
Cheap easy meal in London. This costs 5.8 pounds. However, staffs and their services are not friendly .
Love the pork chops with chilli and salt on rice ! Highly recommended!
Great spot for fast, very cheap food , that still tastes as it should.
Good value - probably not the highest quality meal in Chinatown. Nice atmosphere, lots of Chinese eating here. Busy.
One of the cheapest and the best in London China Town !
Delicious ramen ( with duck ) you should try it!
No service charge , massive portions , great and free Chinese Tea . If you don't mind sharing a large table with others, a recommendation!
It's so different now! Waiters used to be very rude. Either I grew meaner or they learnt to be polite! Anyway, price are very reasonable! Portion is huge. Suggest sharing the food.
the young waiters are like gangsters, I recommend the food if you are white or from Hong Kong or if you are justin bieber. I care about who I give my money to.
The notoriously rude service (self experienced) on busy nights, but always fresh and delicious food.
The shredded duck with preserved vegetables and rice noodles (187) is great
Was my go to place for cheap food but after they ripped me off just for £2 I shan't be going anymore. Good business model!
There were two black long hair in my dish. It was a prawn with hot bean sauce. Just be careful!
Aromatic. Duck . Pancakes . Enough said. Hard to go wrong with many things at this old establishment.
Returned me less in change and then immediately put the rest into the 'tip' box. Pretty damn rude as it is up to the customer to decide whatever if any tips we should give. This is not America mate.
If you look at the state of the sticks and bowl you will realise that the free tea is not for drinking
Bucket of cunts! Cash only ... But no one will tell you that before you sit down. Food was avg. set meals good price if you add extras. Would't bother if I were you.
Food is ok, however I had the worst service ever! It was so insulting the way we were treated in that place that I have no words to discribe it. If you are like me and despite rudeness, STAY AWAY
A casual place for a quick Chinese meal, cheap price, reasonable food. Do the job
Great genuine food at very reasonable price. Remember: cash only .
Best Chinese food in London - for veggies and non alike! Toilets could do with a makeover though,..
Don’t eat here please. Food, personal, prices are disgusting!!!!! Expensive crap, with long food expectation! You can find much more interesting places around in this area with 7-8 pounds nice meal!
Food, personal, price are terrible! Strongly unreccomend!!!!
Crispy Aromatic Duck best in the world!
Tasty and cheap asian food , so many options.
Cheap cheerful and very quick service . Well recommended.
I now unashamedly go here for the banter. Last time the waiter refused to take my order because it would 'take too long'. The belly pork is where it's at!
Great food and Good portions. Just don't expect a conversation or friendly staff !
Go for the crispy noodle with crispy pork !
it's a terrible place! the food may taste alright but they are racist to Chinese. if you are from mainland china, don't try your luck here! they talk rude to you just like they do in hongkong.
Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants on the planet, certainly my favourite #wongkei
The ultimate in cheap Chinese food in London ! They don't swear at you any more but it's still great!
Not here for the service. But for the big portions and free tea . Cheap and quick
Been visiting since my University days, good cheap food ????
You'll want to get the roast duck .
Fast efficient service . They accept cash only .
Noodles are delicious and quick service .
Best food in London's Chinatown by a mile!
Fabulous food at low prices and quite possibly the rudest service in London. Love it!!
everythings is good specially that spring rolls is s muust!! - Argail-Jann Javier Lacdao
Really good Chinese food there. Quite small but good and cheap. Don't forget to get a bubble tea or a fruit milkshake for dessert. Recommended! - Florent Segouin
History has been made here!! You must visit Piccadily Circus. Lovely weather, very social spot with nice selection of Cafés - Ahmed Abdullah
M&M's of course. The whole experience is great with several floors of goodies. There was even a candy m&m walking around for photos. No entry makes it a great way to spend some time. - Robert Paluszak
