Scenic World is a scenic lookout Katoomba located in Australia.
Violet St Katoomba NSW 2780 Australia
The view here is amazing. We took the steepest rail and it was really scary in a fun way!! You can go up and forth taking the same ride as the ticket is only charged at the exit. MUST TRY!!
Definitely a Fantastic place to visit, just a reminder to go early in the morning because at around 12:00pm big excursions arrive. Make sure you visit the waterfall
Book online & go first thing to avoid the crowds. The skyway is scary for those afraid of heights! Follow the signs so you don’t get lost. We thought we were following the map but were on a 2hr walk!
Great stroll, fantastic views . but is crowded , better get there very early in the morning. Comfortable Shoes , hat, water bottle and sunscreen are vital. Be prepared to take long walks.
Good & easy trails to walk. 3 rides to experience and the tram was a pleasant surprise. Take the public bus (686?) instead of the pricey tourists ' bus . Its cheaper and just as simple to get around.
Well run place, very slick in a good way. Be aware the coffee service is way slow, couldn't see why. Arrive early, bring a day pack with water in it and do the walks, amazing.
My 6yr old enjoyed 3 rides and walking path between rides are just nice for those with small kids
Come early before 10am to take the first ride (Skyway ). Crowds come in after 10am!
Book online if you can! Same price but you will skip the queue and when you see the line , you will thank me...
Worth the trip if you have enough time to properly use up the $29 ticket. Sit at the front most while going down the Railway.
Excellent views on 3 different rides, plus a network of walking paths deep in the valley below!
Take the scenic railway , wait for the staff to take a photo, and you will get a postcard for free at the redemption counter
Head down to the bottom and enjoy a fun walk through the forest !
Friendly staff . If you're likely to come a few times you can't beat the annual pass!
Spectacular views . Beautiful walking trails to suit all ages
use the cable 1st... then train ..then skyway to get home early...dont forget to look down frm the skyway to see waterfall ...
T-shirt and soft shell jackets are being flogged off for $10 and $35. Pretty good value , I reckon. (Dec. 2012)
Scenic Railway friendly staff
You can't buy tickets to individual rides, the only option is to pay for all of them ($35).
The scenic railway is a must do.
Concession price if you're a student!
Very toursity. Was packed when we visited.
If you're young and/or fit, just go for a hike . Not worth the money and they pack you in like sardines after long waits . The entry folks give you very inaccurate estimates as well .
Be sure to sit in the front/lowest seat in the railway for the best experience.
Being such a popular venue I wonder why they dont promote other tour operators. Its not likely to hurt business. Probably would shed some light on their generosity.
family ticket is less expensive
Crowdy on holidays
Tourist trap if I ever have seen one. Staff are apathetic and don't seem to want to be there.
Railway is scary. Make sure everything is secure in pockets!!
Walk down the Furber Stairs and catch the train back up (Wobbly knee material)
Avoid the cafe , its the worst service I have ever experienced. 20 minutes for a sandwich they could have given us over the counter... Fail.
Don't buy the coffee ...RIP OFF, seriously, only people who want to rort tourists charge extra for skim milk .
cute staff here.
Spectacular panoramic views all round! Well worth the wait!! - Andrew Saunders
It's a little bit pricey but it's worth it the view was everlasting not for the faint hearted - Apple Blossom
Amazing views. Just incredible. Glass bottom floor is a nice added feature. - James Ferguson
Beautiful scenery but very windy and cold! Make sure you are well wrapped up! - Pheobe Tan
Amazing waterfall - Joe Phoenix
It's nice to spend 2 days in Leura. I strongly recommend Wayzgoose Cafe (The best Pot Pie I ever had) and Josophan’s chocolates! Once on Blue Mountains, definitely go to Scenic World and Echo Point! - Sheila Mottecy
