San Mateo Main Library

this is a really nice library . highlights include free parking , easy-to-use self-checkout kiosks everywhere, and a drive-thru book drop .

Beautiful library . Open airy spaces. Modern architecture . Tall ceilings . Cafe on third floor with outdoor patio space . Just nice.

There is a nice cafe with outdoor seating . The 3rd floor also has lots of comfy couches , and some are isolated and quiet . For a pin-drop silence spot, try the silent study room on 2nd floor.

Great wifi and open seating areas to go in and get some work done away from home or the office .

The Oak Room is a great venue for performances . The Young Peoples Concert is fantastic!

Ya wanna have peace & quiet ??? Go on 3rd floor and therea an outside area!! NOT many people know this!! AND "if" your "consuming?" NO one checks there!! Beers and a book !!

Second Floor has high ceilings and plenty of room for natural light to come in my favorite study spot

Balcony on the third floor is an excellent place to spend the afternoon when the weather's nice.

Drive-up book drop is nice and 24 hrs!

Donate your books . Those they can't use they sell or recycle , and you get the tax write-off.
