Smithwicks is surprisingly close to home. Can't complain, it's really close to the Irish stuff. Bar is a bit weirdly laid out but seems like it'd hold a decent atmosphere at less manic times.

Great Irish Pub in San Francisco's Union Square. Cold Lagunita 's on tap along with every Irish pub ale you can think of. This is the happening place if you downtown.

Staying at the hotel Nikko went in for dinner i ordered the Corned Beef , it absolutely delicious! The staff was great too

The Dueling Piano show here is absolutely brilliant. Particularly Nathan's Disney medley and when they crank out I'm Shipping out to Boston.

The cottage pie and corned beef and cabbage were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding to die for!

Red Wine Braised Lamb Shank was delish! The proportion was smaller than expected though!

The food is good (not great), the Guinness is good (not great), the service was good (not great), and while their bar is great, their sound system is set so everyone has to yell.

Bring your ID with you, as a tourist you might think its not necessary to show you're old enough to drink but, my best friends wife was asked for her ID and she's 35 BTW

The dueling piano players can and will play anything. It is a great place to hang out any day of the week. Fun for all!

The live music upstairs is great. But for a truly awesome night, head downstairs for the dueling pianos.

They weren't really dueling pianos... they each played parts of songs, make jokes, and took full advantage of groups celebrating birthdays to draw the entertainment out to the endurance point.

The piano dueling is really nice. Worth spend a night here for joy! Very funny and dynamic!

If you're Irish, have been to Ireland, or have every had good corned beef ... Don't order it here. The corned beef was totally unseasoned and flavorless. Even covering it in salt didn't help save it.
