One of my favourite wine bars ! Authentic London feel with the candlelit underground tunnels . Also an outside area which is great in summer. Huge variety of wine !
Always a brilliant atmosphere (and always rammed!) whether you're in the dark candlelit cellars or out on the patio . Get the bread and cheese and settle in with a bottle (or three).
Really cool place! Inside is downstairs and cave like which is neat. There is also a patio area outside. The staff are very helpful in choosing the right wine and the cheese choices are amazing.
There's these "special" plants which have signs under them saying you can't stand there. I came within a few metres of one and it was like I'd entered Area 51. CHILL TFO. We here to have fun yo. ✌️
It can be so busy that you have to be prepared for a rather slow service sometimes but great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit if you like wine and cheese .
Very cool inside and expansive outside, we only had a drink in the underground section but great wine list and port/sherry selection and the ambience was brilliant with very attentive and happy staff
Usually very crowded so you have to be patient. There are seats outside but the atmosphere inside is worth the wait. Nice selection of wines and cheese .
We had a Malbec with the cheese plate at an afternoon snack . The ambiance was very cool! You felt like you were part of a medieval setting on your way to the market .
One of the oldest wine bars in London . Very busy, especially in the summer, and there's no service. Theres plenty of outdoor seating and it's right by a park so it's a very pleasant atmosphere !
Must visit London wine bar . Great selection of wines by bottle and glass, equally good cheese and pickle choice. Sit inside and soak up the atmosphere, if you can find a seat.
authentic atmosphere, inside is dungeon like, also had place at outside. you feel the embarkment tube going under while enjoying your wine and sides. dont advice to claustrophobics :)
Superb and stylish wine bar , unfortunately fully packed and no possibilty to seat and eating a cheese board with your wine :( Better to arrive very early in the evening.
Amazing atmosphere, great wine list , and very popular- a must-visit for wine lovers. Try the scotch eggs and cheese plates .
One of the best & most famous Wine Bars in London . Always very popular but worth the wait to get a seat downstairs, enjoy the wine & people watching . Many a hangover was started here.
Love this place. Lots of seating inside and out, but fills up quickly. Amazing looking meat and cheese platters ! Perfect combo to go alongside a bottle or two...
If you like wine and cheese , this is the place to go. It has a fairly large outdoor seating area which is great on a weekday evening, but chairs can be hard to come by as it's a popular spot.
Cracking bar if you like wine and cheese , inside you are in the caverns if you want a real cosy experience, if not there are plenty of place outside to have a drink
Just amazing place - get a mixed cheese and meat platter + bottle of wine inside and then mix with the crowd outside to enjoy
An institution! Get some cheese , meat and a good bottle and watch people from all walks of London life
Really great atmospheric wine bar in a cave like old building and a nice terrace up against embankment gardens . Cheese and meat platters are great value .
Amazing hidden gem in the centre. Wonderful wine selection
One of the best places I’ve been to in London. Find a spot, try some bottles and get a charcuterie board. Make friends!
Make sure to check out the blackboard for specials. Great place for a date if you're both into wine . It's always very crowded here so make a reservation upfront.
Inside of Gordon's looked amazing, we sat outside and enjoyed the sun. The table we sat at had dirty wine glasses and plates, waiters/waitresses could of been a it more attentive.
Must do! Great Spot, top vine, pie and Cheese selection .
A London institution that's been here forever- cosy wine bar in the winter but in the summer there is tonnes of great outdoor space for a drink!
Fantastic selection of wines . I had a dry sherry if all things and loved it! Sitting out on the terrace in the evening is lovely too...
The most delicious cheeses I have ever eaten and the old Chardonnay made me suffer while they were searching for it. Only two bottles left! Go and have them. ????
One of my favourite places in London. Great wine bar with indoor and outdoor seating . Make sure you get a platter of food
Absolutely amazing place! Fantastic wine , great atmosphere, staff are super friendly and have a deep knowledge of wine . There's even a cheese bar !
Great wine and port list. The gothic iron and candles make for an intimate setting . They also do meat and cheese sharing platters... Had many a romantic bottle of wine here and will in future...
Almost impossible to get a seat in the candlelit caverns but when you do it's absolutely worth it. Order anything - it's all delicious!
Nice selection of wines , the cellar is amazing, i suggest a nice platter of these french cheese or ham . Crowded on friday and saturday night.
Infamous wine bar near Charing Cross. Not cheap but if you like wine , cheese and a unique atmosphere, you can't go wrong. Not for claustrophobics :)
The atmosphere at Gordon's is unmatched. I had an excellent last lunch in London here, the wine was of course great, and the salmon and potatoes was kill
The best wine bar in all London. They also serve good Porto and the food is excellent
Try Gordon's by the River for something different. Port for connoisseurs; great wine and cheese board menu for most tastes. A highly recommended antique watering hole. Warning: it's often packed.

Amazing place with a great atmosphere. The outdoor sitting area is top! The cheese boards and fresh hams are also very very good!
I don't just like it here, I LOVE it. Fantastic wine list , great cheeses . Don't be shy at the bar or you may be waiting a while.
spectacular. the most unique wine bar i have ever seen
Nice spot for good wine . 8-10 can reserve the cellar room. Little dark to spend too much time.
Have some wine with a cheese plate . You will probably have to sit outside. It is very small and looks like a cave in the back room.
It is kind of romantic to drink in old cellars which are lighten by candles, but ceiling is low you can feel claustrophobic.. It is very old! House wine is good????
This is a must see if you are in London! The atmosphere is amazing as well as cheese platter and wine
Everyone will find something to love in this dingy Dickensian atmosphere – heaped plates of cheese and pickles , cheap and extensive wine selection and large Sherry measures, straight from the barrel Read more
Excellent bartending ! Satisfactory wine list . Warm, cozy monastery scenery. Decent food at affordable prices ! All time classic! ❤️

Love the darkness. Love the darkness. Love the feeling of being in a crypt.
Oldest wine bar in London , open since 1890.
Awesome little winebar tucked away in Borough Market. Really good selection of wines - by the glass and an even wider range by bottle - and excellent charcuterie and cheeseboards. Perfect for summer. - Lopiteaux
Cosy bar with natural and biodynamic wines - very clever wine list. Also good sharing food to go with your bottle. - Alexey Morozov
One of my favourite in this area: excellent food and wine. Table bookings only taken at lunchtime. - Mark Brill
My favorite area, beautiful location. Close to Leicester square, and several great food stops. - Chelsea Bradley
One of my favourite pubs in the west end. Nice Stout, cosy places and good for a romantic date ;) - Oscar
Traditional pub right next to Charing Cross. Lively vibes, good beer selection & pretty good fish & chips! - Lucille Fisher
