El pastor is the way to go! Nachos , tacos , tostadas - it doesn't matter. It's all good and super fabulous toppings. My all time fav late night munchie spot!
And I thought I'd never find good Mexican food in NY. This truck is heaven sent. I'm here every week for the usual: al pastor/lengua/chorizo tacos & tamarindo flavor Jarritos ????????
It's just great Mexican food . And it comes from a truck . Need I say more? They're always really nice and the prices are pretty reasonable. Wish they still had $2 tacos , tho. Cash only , I believe.
In a neighborhood without many good Mexican food options, this truck is a lifesaver! My go-to is the burrito with chicken tinga .
The #5 Special (Synchronizada?) is truly a spectacle to behold. Be sure to substitute the ham for your favorite meat and indulge. They are also open until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays.
as a person of south asian descent, i often discount warnings about spiciness--be forewarned: if they say something is spicy here it will be SPICY . that said, tacos are A+ by NYC standards.
Sometimes you get off the subway late at night and really need a burrito . This is where you should get the burrito you should be eating.
After a short hiatus/truck complications they have finally returned. Yes they have a new young cook who is still grasping the ropes, but in time his legacy shall be proclaimed throughout Astoria.
If you get anything chicken ask for spicy chicken instead. Its not that spicy but has a really good smoked flavor. It truly us a hidden gem in Astoria.
Literally everything is good. Shout out to the tinga , cesina, and al pastor .
They gave me a free fish taco to try out. It was so good that I threw the $3 at them and vowed to order it again. Amazing.
This guy is a legend! I mean, you have to stand in a line in front of a random truck any given time! !!! Totally worth the wait!
So now they're in town Monday to Thursday from 6pm to 1pm. Every other day they're on Wall Street near Front. Tacos are great, get chorizo !
Awesome Carnitas burrito . Amazing tostadas : chorizo , steak , tinga (spicy chicken ).
Salty beef (Cesena) and spicy sausage (Chorizo ) tacos . Unbelievable.
I really recommend the 2 dollars taco (try the carnitas one) is my favorite ..!!
The best after hours food truck in NYC
The $3 carnita tostada with everything on it rules my life!
The burrito is the best for $7.50 it's worth it
Don't go early, order later at night when the griddle gets all the flavors of the meat.
Mouth on FIRE!!! Spicy , Spicy , Spicy ....in a good way!!
Once again Carnita Taco Chorizo Taco n a Fruit Punch Jarritos = WIN!!
The first truck did so well they got another. Kinda tells ya something eh? Recommendation: get a taco .
Taco truck . Good late night eats
This where I took the title from this cute chick.
Good god I love these tacos .
