Take your time. Walk around and look at the food options. Don't be seated by the first hawker you meet. You will miss on the experience! Seafood is fantastic but sold by weight, so beware of price!
I LOVE this place, I eat here numerous times every time I am in Singapore. The chili crab here is the BEST in the world, dip the buns in the sauce. Prawns here are incredible as well as Tum yum soup
Imperial seafood (chili crab is legit) just won a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. The chicken wings from 2 stalls next to it - delish! Bring wipes - it will get messy w all this finger food!
Check out the tips at this place. Food to get: duck rice , satay , fried oyster omelette , hokkien mee . Flush it all down with sugar cane and craft beer !
#01-73???? Like the way how Hup Kee Fried Oyster Omelette stall does their eggs . Crispy with the starch coating the eggs being a winning taste. Oysters are fresh too. Waiting time is 20-30 minutes.
Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake ). Heng Carrot Cake #01-28 fries this popular local dish to the point of crispy yummy, although it could do with more salt. An overall dish I’d order again
Hup kee fried oyster omelette was good, crispy n full of oysters . Guan Kee grilled seafood 's sambal stingray was not bad. Siti Khadijah seafood 's mutton satay was good. Craft beer not bad too...
Come with a local to get the full experience; Many people will try to lure you to their stands, just go wherever. Be sure to try the STING RAY and Chili Crab , they are crowd favorites
Nasi Lemak (Chinese style). Enjoyed fragrant rice from OG Lemak #01-16. Chilli paste is more watery, unlike the Malay sweet fried style. Wish crispy chicken (boneless ) was savoury instead of sweet
Teh tarik . If you are craving teh tarik (hot milk tea Indian-Muslim style) or teh halia (ginger tea ), we found Syed Ishak #01-38. For a more aromatic cuppa, ask for a stronger serving
'Or chien' (oyster omelette ). Enjoyed every bit of the serving from Hup Kee #01-73. Crispy & fragrant, generous oysters , citrusy chilli sauce . Ordered the largest size ($10) to share among 5 adults
Hawker heaven. Seaweed beer ! Healthy and tasty beer ?!? And it goes great with seafood ! Win-win.
I would recommend stall no 47. Tried fried hokkien mie and fried oysters . At first, it was a little bit plain for me, but after stirring it with the chilli..bom..it spiced up the taste to next level
Free use of clean public toilets (male, female) & water cooler at 1 end of popular food centre. If u r standing in the middle of the ctr & facing the carpark, they r on ur left-hand side
Chili crab is a must-try dish. cooked in a spicy and tangy chili-based sauce, offering a tantalizing explosion of flavors. Served with mantou buns for dipping .
The kambing soup at store 79 is a must try. The soup us thick with full of spices at $5 per bowl. Try The " HENG" carrot cake just opposite store 79 too. Both white and black are good.
My regular seafood stall no 70 Delight Grilled Seafood is the best!!! The food nearby is fantastic too! Satay ! Home-brewed Beer !!!

The night is still young here with lots of food choices even on a Thursday 11.20pm ( 2nd night of Lunar Ghost Month) and the local food are reasonably-priced except non-fixed price seafood
Lots of ceiling fans and wall fans at sheltered area to keep the place cool. FREE carpark after 10pm with sufficient vacant lots on a weekday night :-D
Comes to life only in the late arvo/evenings. In the day you’ll have to stick to the few stalls that are open mostly on the outside. Fishballs, chicken rice , and the XO noodles are the winners.
Craving for Xiao Long Bao (XLB) or pan-fried dumplings (aka gyoza )? We sampled decent ones from stall 72 "九鼎". $12 for this plate of 10 dumplings
Update on drinks: Lily has craft beer at stall 71 and regular drinks at 75. With Tan at 70 it is the best service around
I've been here 9 times & have tried 17 dishes. LOVED: 1) Chicken Wings (Stall #01-30) 2) Chilli Crab (Stall #01-78). See Top 10 dishes on Foodmento: Read more
Make sure when ordering to specify the size of things, especially when it comes to things that you pay by weight, or you could end up with more and paying more than you intended.
If you feel like eating Indian food , you can try stall no 79 Faizur. They serve good mutton soup although can be a tad salty at times, and light, tasty and not too oily fried Bee Hoon chicken .
A visit to Newton Hawker Centre is the best way to experience local Singaporean dishes. We recommend local favourites chicken rice and chili crab to start.
Sambal stingray . Impressed with serving from Guan Kee #01-53. Juicy meat. Sambal was spicy enough, not overly sweet. Rare stall with a side serving of chinchalok (fermented baby shrimps )
Food the locals eat you have to try: stingray , laksa , fish head curry (try the lips -locals say), chilli-crab, chok tweak choy? (or something like that) and the baby squid ! :)
Guan Kee stall #53 - best sting ray.....I had to go back for seconds!
Black carrot cake shiok . Stall 28. But tongue abit dry after eating. Mango juice before entrance very robust @ $4 for large size.
Indian palace . Come in entrance from car park in left corner. Create Indian tandorie, prawn curry . Beening here for 2 year and consistent and great al the time
When you are hungry, get carrot cake from stall 28, chicken wing from stall 30, & stingray with rice from stall 33. Cost around $24 for 2 to 3 person. ????
Food is good and the food stallers are friendly . I would think that the practice of "scheming"the tourist is something that they don't do any more. It affects their livelihood!
There's lots of ceiling fans and wall fans at the sheltered area to keep the place cool. FREE carpark after 10pm with sufficient vacant lots on a weekday night ????
Most stalls close by midnight. This is the scene at 2am. Only BBQ chicken wings , prawn noodles & drinks stalls were open
If your a Foodie, then this is a must visit place, Seafood in Abundance, Beers with a mix of Sugarcane Juice and Coconut , Must try the Indian dish #Rojak

The food in Al - Amin Muslim Food, Stall No . 26 is very good especially mutton soup , roti john and mee goreng . This stall is highly recommended.
Come here for dinner and EAT EVERYTHING. Try a Chili Crab if you don't feel like eating at Jumbo Seafood .
Surely not a "posh-place" but here you will find the best SingFood in town . 200+ foodshops to choose from.
They at #73 for Oyster Omelette & #28 for Carrot Cake and also Oyster Omelette
Good place! Bit expensive but great quality and tasty. For muslims, there are hawkers got halal certificate. Do find it. Oh ya, no smoking at dining table.
Stall 73 Hup Kee has crispy egg oyster omelette
Stall #19 got the best BBQ Sting Ray and butter cray fish is a must try!!
A popular @visitsingapore food centre perpetually packed with locals and tourists alike thanks to its excellent seafood , succulent satay and pulsating atmosphere. Be sure to snag a table early.
