You cannot go wrong with anything you order here. I've eaten here countless times and everytime have been served fresh food . We got omakase , uni, XXX roll , & combo#2. They serve the best chirashi .
Great sushi spot in inner sunset . Recommend Romeo and Juliet , Agedashi Tofu , and Toro Nigiri . The rolls are packed with fish , so you get your money's worth. Go off hours to avoid the wait.
Start with a smattering of the kushiyaki, $4 a la carte bites like Kobe beef or obi (shrimp with lemon ), then follow up with sashimi picks like the bonito tatami: seared skipjack with onions . Read more
The chirashi and sushi specials are amazing! A wide variety of very fresh fish . There are no reservations (tables are first come first serve), so plan to come early if you are with a big group!
Just get them to make you a tasting platter if the chefs recommended... everything is so good. Besides the weird fried oyster bits .. those are odd.
AMAZING!! Just, go! I don’t usually order rainbow rolls but i saw one that had just been made and i had to try it - long story short : ridiculously fancy and flavorful. Also, the salmon belly !!!
You can't go wrong with omakase , and I love their sake steamed clams . The servers are great at making recommendations, so ask away!
Omakase a bit underwhelming even though the fish was very good (basically just because it's all of the most obvious cuts, nothing like a chef 's recommendation). The rolls were good. I'd recommend it.
Sooo good. Quality fresh fish . XXX Roll and the nigiri and sashimi is amazing <3 Staff is friendly and just an overall good experience
The $22 chirashi bowl (which includes miso soup !) is probably the best sushi deal in the Bay Area.
The family affair was so good! Super yummy. One bummer was that our food came out at different times so when one person had finished, the others we just starting.
Sit at the bar enjoy the fun of watching sushi be made! Get the omokase! Ebisu is the best. I go here every year when I visit SF.
Rock solid sushi ; many of their top varieties are flown in from Japan weekly. Not cheap but well worth the money you’ll spend.
Sushi rolls and $25 omokase sashimi should do fine with two people if you're budget conscious. The sashimi is really the kicker at this place: really tasty.
Favorite sushi spot in SF. Seriously epic in taste. The Pink Cadillac is my favorite appetizer , and the #29 roll is a must try.
Love this place. Great sushi , awesome specialty rolls , desserts and entrees too. Try the double hamachi roll . Don't get the udon .
Pricey , but excellent choices and cuts of sashimi . Had LIVE uni served in the shell, so fresh! Even the nontraditional rolls are yummy (Romeo and Juliet was good)
Seat on the sushi bar and ask for Julio to be your sushi man. He's awesome, funny, and helps you with the best choices from the menu!
Omg if I knew the uni came with 6 pieces I woulda spaced it out instead of saving for last!! Awesome surprise though ☺️
Had the XXX roll . It was good. But way too expensive . $18 for one roll! I've had comparable sushi in other places for way less.
Do not overlook the teriyaki dinners , salmon or trout is the way to go - simply delicious!
One of the best valued Chirashi in the city . And did I mention it's one of the best?
Food is amazing, which keeps me coming back. Service is great once you sit down. The front desk where you check is a major disaster.
The Uni (sea urchin ) was the best I've ever had. Awesome place.
Excellent traditional rolls. This place is the standard for what a sushi place should be.
Best nigiri I've had. Hamachi , salmon , octopus , scallop , oh my.
Love the Dexter Carter roll. They also have fresh scallop and uni right out of the shell, on occasion.
Omakase is a great option if you just want to be pleasantly surprised
Romeo and juliet , doble hamachi and premium toro are a MUST!! Incredible food and really fresh
Omakase is an AWESOME deal if you're in a group-- they even fry the remains of the fish bones and shrimp heads for you!
delish food and chocolate mochi is amazing!!
Deluxe sushi plate is everything you could want at a sushi bar !
my go to sushi place in SF. get the salmon belly :)
Awesome sushi - u gotta try it!
Really nice large, omakase sashimi plate. The fish head gets deep fried.
Over-rated. They seem to focus on specialty rolls and overlook the basics. The ingredients are fresh, but the quality of the fish wasn't what I expected. My rolls fell apart !
Bento box , perfect for a lunch with friends. No booking
Try the 49er roll. Thin slices of lemon on the salmon = delish
the sushi Shashank is very fresh. The chefs care and are very entertaining
Sit at the bar and relax. Chiriashi was great. Any roll with lemon was amazing.
Ingredients are fresh. The Romeo and Juliet roll was a standout.
The chirasu is amazing! Great value . Pair it with a sweeter sake .
Have a selection of excellent Japanese food by the bar
Fabulous fish . Try anything with lemon slices and whatever is on special.
Kobe Beef is a definite must have. If you like Poke get the Swamp Roll.
Order any of the fresh fish specials.
Try the Escolar Sashimi - Beautiful and tasty. Julio created edible art .
Their nigiri is great, but go for the sashimi . Heaven!
Best Saba sashimi I've ever had!
The combo boxes are a great deal... Ton of super tasty food!
Fantastic and generous nigiri and not eimportsntly sake boxes! Our favorite sushi haunt. - David Nuffer
