Amazing! Park in lot before interpretive center and you don't have to pay for parking . You can walk on the flats without paying the museum fee.

In the summer, the fossil beds are hotter than the surrounding area. In the winter, they're under the river . Just be prepared!

While you can only access the fossil beds when the river is low, it's also impressive seeing the river flowing over then when it's higher.
