Cozy and intimate , bartender will make you whatever you want based on flavors and liquors you prefer. I recommend Yamazaki and White Lady .
The Bellini here is made with freshly peeled, cut, and blended Japanese peaches . It's the best you will ever have. Almost worth the flight to Tokyo by itself.
Awarded as one of the best bars in the world, this TINY bar in Ginza delivers good cocktails in a cool atmosphere. No menus available, ask for something w/Japanese whisky and thank me later!
Like walking into another era. It's since moved from the 4th floor to B1 of the building next to what is marked on 4sq.
Just be prepared to tell them one or two flavors/spirits you like and prepare to be amazed. The gin and ginger combo I had was phenomenal. They also serve little snacks while you drink.
Ueno-San's diamond ice is pretty cool to watch. The bar tenders are multicultural and staff speak excellent English. The cocktails don't disappoint, give them flavours and they will work their magic!
Ask for a local ingredient inspired drink! Mine had Japanese rum , plum liqueur and herb liqueur and was very spirit forward. Trust that the bartenders know their craft well .
Showed up right at 6pm for a quick drink. 7 drinks (amongst 2 people) and 15,000 Yen later, I can assure you this is one of the best cocktail bars in the world.
Small, rather classic interior with soft jazz soundtrack. Innocent Love is a very creative signature cocktail designed to mimic the prominent violet flavour of Parfait Amour. Read more
My favorite cocktail bar in Tokyo. It can get busy at peak weekend hours: go early or on weekdays. No smoking! No menu: ask for a sherry drink, or something from their great whisky collection.
A move to larger premises has not dampened Hidetsugu Ueno fire with the same inspired approach to cocktails , plus a 200-strong whisky list. Bellins, Singapore Slings and Martinis are a benchmark.
Been to great cocktail bars all over the world - and so many in Tokyo. Always I return to this bar - because it's simply the best of them all.
No menu but based on your flavor preference. Result: The 'Ceremony' - Japanese whiskey as the base, spirit forward, and dry/herbal (two kinds of homemade green tea liqueur )
Incredible cocktails , friendly staff . No menu, so they'll adjust to your tastes. Get the Bloody Mary- you won't regret it!
There are no words to describe the amazement of this place. You tell them a flavor, they make your drink. Impeccable concoctions . Yummy side bar snacks too. Completely worth it.
A bit hard to find -- follow the address listed on Foursquare and look for it on the 4th floor of the building. Mr. Ueno and his staff make beautiful custom cocktails based on your drink preferences.
Ask for a White Lady from the Ueno son. Then you can call the day.
One of the best bars in the world. No menu but the bartender recommends great cocktails based on your tastes.
Ueno's Bellinis , Singapore Slings, Martinis and his signature White Lady remain a benchmark, while classics such as Ceremony – J's whisky , green tea , and matcha – and Bamboo are as popular as ever.
Favorite cocktail bar in the world. Mr. Ueno is a true master and a lovely person. Had the best Bloody Mary of my life (made from fresh tomatoes )
Definitely one of the best bars in the world I have been to.
Really wonderful cocktails . Some with Japanese flavored: cherry blossom liqueur , green tea liqueur , etc. The bartender has incredible shaking skills.
Great selection of whiskeys and very well made cocktails . Good knowledge from bartenders .
Get a boulevardier. Hands down the best preparation I've ever had. Incredibly friendly staff as well .
Best top 50 bar so far. Great job on that personal touch from the bartender (happen to be from New Orleans) and the team
There are no menus at this tiny space in the Ginza. Instead, the bartender recommends cocktails with telepathic precision: a Moscow Mule , say, chilled with diamond-shaped ice cubes.
Ueno was out. His helpful but not very good in English team prepared some cocktails for us. I had their version of old fashioned . It was great but not jaw dropping. We paid 64000Y for 2 cocktails . Hm.
Spring bud cocktail blends white chocolate and Midori . Very interesting.
Some people have closets that are more spacious than this watering hole, which can accommodate just a handful of lucky drinkers. Read more
Kiwi fruit is now in season. Kiwi cocktail is delicious!
Asked for a drink mixed with local tastes. the waitress brought these bottles and after a long talk, we chose the ingredients together. All this time she knelt down. The result was AMAZING.
the hours will fly by as you sit and talk stories with Ueno-san. try the staples: bamboo cocktail , white lady and try the hard-to-find mars maltage too
The Bloody Mary is the best I have ever had
Another series from Ichiro - The Game. Very limited production run with only a few hundred of each bottle.
Head bartender is an international cocktail judge, everyone's English is perfect. Great cocktails but pricey
Both drinks I had were great, and well composed. Look for the English sign in green, in BF1.
The ham is perfect with the drinks
Black Russian definitely worth a try
Ask for the classics or just ask for a flavor. Mr. Ueno will prepare you a drink
Bar High Five makes the best Moscow Mule I've ever had in my life.
They're changing locations soon, and their website warns patrons in July to check with them for closed days Read more
Great drinks. Relaxed vibe . Impeccable service.
Not easy to find. To to take the elevator down to the basement .
Latest release in The Game series by Ichiro
Easily the best pina colada in the world..... and the most expensive cocktail .
Very very friendlybar with amazing coctails
Must must must!!
Delicious cocktails created according to your personal taste
Great vibe, friendly staff , amazing cocktails .
They have a rule that allows only 4 people in at a time and they don't let you split into groups either. When asked, they will point you to the sign and repeat it rudely until you leave.
Always a pleasure to visit. Great atmosphere and world class cocktails. Delicious rum based drink with locally produced honey. - Jane Doe
The menu is omakase style, and uses fresh local seasonal produce and high quality alcohol to create amazing tasting cocktails. The small drinks are some of the best cocktails in Japan!! - Kacey Eichen
I can’t recommend any specific cocktail because the host makes them up on the fly. Just be honest with what you like and you’ll get an awesome tipple. My fave was the Japanese whisky/ginger mix. - Chris Mallon
Off the beaten path but comfortably crowded. Drinks are fantastic. No drink menu but instead options to choose off flavor profiles. Would absolutely recommend this place. - Pamela Hackney
