Fantastic and unique cocktail experience in Tokyo. Gen san manipulates the aroma of spirits and very fresh and seasonal fruits . Recommend to make reservations right before or after business hour.
This is one of the most inspirational bars I've ever been to. Each cocktail features one or two local farmers market fresh fruit or veggie and one spirit. Pure simplicity at its best.
Gen-san is charming, knowledgable and zen. The bar 's scent from the Hokkaido Mizunara wood counter, heavenly. I want to move in. Also. I think I captured the only photo of him smiling while pouring ✌
The cocktails here are incredibly unique and delicious. You'll not have these anywhere else. They're small, so I recommend the set of 6
Gastronomic cocktail experience . 2 set menu : 4 or 6 cocktails . Gen Yamamoto strives to find the balance between the acidity or sweetness of a fruit with liquor . Reservations highly recommended!
Chose from either 4 cocktails for 4500¥ or 6 cocktails for 6000¥. Plus 1000¥ cover. Make reservations ! Menu changes seasonally
The cocktails are very seasonal and feature unusual fresh ingredients . Go for six cocktails since they are small and low abv.
You can do 4 or 6 cocktails but you should do 6. They are really low alcohol content, so you won't be drunk by the end. Reservations required.
The menu is omakase style, and uses fresh local seasonal produce and high quality alcohol to create amazing tasting cocktails . The small drinks are some of the best cocktails in Japan !!
I know everyone loves this place but I only thought it was ‘okay’. Much respect for the craft and care that goes into each drink though. There was something off with the ambiance of the bar .

Not your typical bar , there’s no music and little talking, just the sound of well made cocktails being shaken and stirred in the minimally-decorated room, which is dominated by a long wooden bar . Read more
unforgettable. book early. gen-san speaks english and lived in new york. seasonally menu and indescribable almost culinary nuances. looks formal but quite a relaxed atmosphere .
Modern minimalism is elevated to an art form at this Tokyo joint with no cocktail menu , music or even shelves. A bespoke seasonal omakase menu is prepared by the single employee Yamamoto-san.
Insane cocktails with different personalities. The owner had me liking things I don't usually like! He is that talented. A must-go-to bar in Tokyo.
Amazing bar . The bartender is really nice and knows his stuff. The drinks tend to be not too alcoholic . The owner aims to get a good balance of flavours and doesn't like over powerful tastes
A tasty, unconventional bar . Most drinks are carefully chosen parings or trifectas of a base alcohol , fruit and additional flavor designed for discriminating imbibing, perhaps even without a buzz.
Yamamoto’s seasonal creations (such as peach - and wasabi-infused shochu ) use ingredients sourced from farmers across the country and are served on a 500-year-old Japanese oak counter.
Great cocktails in peacefuleness ambience. Went all by myself right at the opening and I truly enjoyed it.
Cocktails are half sizes and you can barely get buzzed, so you should most definitely splurge for the 6-cocktail experience.
Gen carefully crafts wonderful drinks right in front of you using excellent local alcohols and ingredients
We went with the 4 cocktail and the grape one was the one for us.
Carefully crafted cocktails made from locally sourced ingredients. Gen is talented and very knowledgeable about his work.
Gen is bringing serious mixology to town . Try his (amazing) signature sweet tomato cocktail . Read more
The cocktails on the tasting menu are relatively small and low-ABV, so drinking 4 (or even 7) cocktails is not as daunting as it may seem.
Citrus cocktail is very interesting. Good for those who like sour tastes
Reservations required for an amazing bespoke cocktail experience .
An intimate , mimimalist space, it seats only eight at a counter made from a 500-year-old mizunara (Japanese oak ) tree . Subway: Azabu-Juban, near Abe-chan yakitori joint
Don't be scared by the 6 course tasting. Drinks are small enough that it's the perfect amount.
So many great drinks, very thoughtful preparation, presentation, and description. Go here!
Very unique cocktail tastning menu. You need to book in advance!
Very famous cocktail bar . Order a sake martini shaken with ginger or a dry margarita .
Very creative place, amazing cocktails . Love it!!
Do the 6 drink tasting menu . The drinks are low alcohol and light.
Tiny 8-seater cocktail bar . Only seasonal tasting set menu . Delicious.
