Salsa X takes the cake , carne avodobo was a crowd favorite. All around one of the best Mexican joints in Austin. Don’t leave without a margarita !!
The assortment of salsas (five) is really nice for a group with different heat tolerances. The Shiny Ribs make a great appetizer to share or a small plate if you want to eat them all by yourself!
The nachoes were really good. The service was great. The enchiladas verde were pretty good you get 3 so be aware. They have multiple salsa we had the medium it was really nice and smoky.
Be prepared to wait 15-45 minutes during and near peak dining times. That being said, definitely worth the wait. Great food and a nice environment. Wait staff is excellent.
Some of the best Mexican you will find in Austin, and I’ve lived here all my life. Great staff and service. Rene’s enchiladas .
Great new addition to the Tex-mex scene. Very good service and reasonably priced.
I had Esme’s Magic, and it was outstanding. There’s also a side, with zucchini and pumpkin seeds , so good.
Try it all there are a lot of hidden gems on this menu.
There is only one thing I order on the menu here.. The Bonado… it’s amazing and ton of food. Try it!
After the lunch special burrito be prepared to have someone roll you out of here. Salsa is good lots of options. I’ll be back.
The sopes during the special were amazing. My bf and I got in an actual fight when he ate my leftovers.
