Once through the front door it feels like you have been transported back to a 1940's cocktail lounge , plush seating , dim lights and a huge old oak bar . Drink a Whiskey Sour .

It's my birthday and a dear friend introduced me to this gem. For a lovely smokey ginger drink, order the Penicillin -- not on the menu you but Marco will make if you ask nicely. :-)

Ask Keith for a Whiskey Sour with Makers Mark 46. The magic ingredient to the whiskey sour in here though — I just learned — is maple syrup !

Marco, my favorite bartender here, has left and the basil gimlet was less than perfect last nite. Still love temple bar for the amazing vibe but definitely disappointed in our cocktails .

Have loved this place since I lived on Mulberry and Houston. Kiss Me Deadly is amazing, and back in the day, they used to have my fave martini called the Metropolitan, like a blackberry Cosmo !

I have come before, and the drinks were delicious. This time, not good. 2 of the 4 of us had to send back our drinks. Our other friend didn't love her drink either. I'm just getting a Ketel soda .

What happened? It used to be so clean , sophisticated and borderline fancy . It now seems to be an obnoxious-and-messy patrons magnet.

Swanky , pricey , dimly-lit, with yummy cocktails . You may lose track of time there - no windows, etc. Drink carefully.
