A fun venue with some great performers . Sometimes the bar makes custom drinks and names them after the performers - I loved the "Matt and Kim".
The Fonda Theatre is a great place to see a show. This venue recently was selected by the Rolling Stones for an intimate opener to the Zip Code Tour . If there's an opportunity to go, do it! Read more
One of my favorite venue. Rooftop patio for fresh air and you can drink and smoke. Bar available upstairs. Overlooking Hollywood Blvd.
Lovely venue. Two tips: Stop at Blue Palms beforehand. Buy your tickets from Amoeba if possible so you don't need to pay the extortionate AXS fees
since the reno, this has become my favorite venue in LA . perfect size, amazing decor, and those blue curtains! i never mind waiting for the next set. :)
No matter where you stand still a great view . You can watch the live show upstairs as well .
The sound system is incredible, making the balcony the most magical spot for music in LA. Order the Kobe Brew Burger & Sweet Potato Fries from the adjoining Blue Palms Brewhouse.

Come early to your Fonda Show. They have 25 micro brews at the connected restaurant plus food and the door is open between both locales. Fonda only has two brews on draft and no food...
Get GA balcony tickets and get there when doors open. You can thank me when you get comfy seats , center on the stage, and there's no line at the bar .
Awesome sound, friendly and fast bartenders , and solid sight lines . Rooftop patio is fantastic.
Views are best from the elevated platforms on the side. Don't forget to go up to the roof for a cigarette and excellent view of Hollywood.
Good sightlines from the entire downstairs. Go to the lobby bar for faster service, generally. Avert your eyes from the oddly ornate lamp installation and the odd murals .
Not a great place to be short . The stage I needs to be about a foot taller. Stand on the sides where the raised platforms are if you want to be able to see anything.
Bar on the second floor has the show on projection. It’s usually a faster bar and there’s lots of seating.
Go up stairs for a great view of hollywood and of the W hotel . Music is different then the main room usually, but its nice and has places to sit.
Looking for a bit of fresh air ? Go up to the rooftop for a drink or a cigarette during the show, you can still watch what’s happening projected onto the wall!
One of my favorite venues! Balcony is relaxing but I always prefer the pit :)
You can usually find free parking up the street and around the corner just down from Hollywood Presbyterian. Check posted signs as they vary per half block in that area.
Always but floor tickets cause you can bounce between balcony and floor, but if you have balcony , can't go to floor section.
Great venue!
Beautiful interior !! Don't forget to check out the upstairs roof area! The audio is unbelievable. Park in the neighborhood behind, or pay $20, your choice!
Take the metal stairs up from the rooftop patio , and go inside the small room to watch the show from a tiny balcony with it's own private bathroom !
Great venue in Hollywood. Check out the roof bar if it's open
Balcony seating has great aerial view - floor is fantastic too (lots of railing to lean against next to the side wall booth seating ). Read more
Awesome venue, beautiful inside, close to the Red Line
The balcony at the Music Box is the most magical spot in LA. The sound is heavenly if the mix is done right.
Great venue great sound system and we're VIP's. WooHoo!
My favorite venue! No bad views of the stage - intimate setting that adds to the energy of any show you attend.

Manchester Orchestra's 3rd studio album boasts lush, almost operatic instrumentation. Sleeper Agent’s playful performance delighted audiences at this year’s SXSW. Don't miss both artists here, June 2.
Intimate music venue with rocking good lineup. Great fun!
Small spot that attracts really good bands. There isn't a bad seat in the place. -Danielle Keene, Top Chef Just Desserts
The amazing Temper Trap with New stuff: awesome!
the rooftop bar is cool but the floor is where you want to be
Have a couple shots at your car when you get there beforehand because a simple vodka & cran was $10. My favorite venue yet!
Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals performed at the historic Fonda Theatre in 2005. You can order Ben’s new album By My Side here: Read more
I can't stress enough how immoral and horrible this theater is. For $100, I was put, standing, in what an usher confirmed is usually a fire exit except tonight. They knew they were cheating people.
Saw Craig David! Couldn't be happier!
Be sure to keep your feet planted on the ground during heavy-bass shows. The sound system is one of the best I've heard.
Cool backstage and all round cool venue
Good size. Good sound.
A double vodka on the rocks costs the same as 2 red bull vodkas
My favorite place to see a band in Hollywood! Definetly one of the more classy venues in H-Wood!
Impress your date by finding Hieronymous Bosch on the wall, stage right.
Old venue, but intimate setting for shows.
Great place to see bands, especially on the floor. Agree w/ others, the drinks are expensive and you should park down the street.
if the music is too loud for your ears, hang out in the balcony . the view is just as good. very little "old people" here so its even better
Make sure you catch Anthony Green play here on 12/15!
Catch Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band at The Music Box on February 26, 2011. Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit supports. Info and tickets at joshritter.com Read more
Charming theater with some fairly strong drinks. Price was fair! I like how the sides of the room are slightly raised for us shorter people. ???? Saw Mike Stud perform here and loved it! - Jon Menager
Cool venue that still looks like a midcentury theater! They took out the seats tho so get there early for prime spots - Brad Klein
Beautifully refurbished mason lodge. Great place for intimate concerts. - Sean Robison
Good music, friendly staff, crazy collection of locals and blow-ins. Perfect for drinks after work at the lovely Pantages next door. - Derek Wilson
the chicken legz are my favorite & the rice & gravy alwayz a must with the biscuitz !! - 오미헤
Try the Good Times Mule cocktail on tap. A little sweet but has a real nice ginger spiciness to it! - Emily H
