Good food, good people, great rock on the jukebox . Nice atmosphere, relaxed and cosy. Decent beer selection well kept. These guys do nothing wrong.

6.5 years ago I had their game stew . After dwelling on it for so long, I came back for it. Alas it's off the menu , but I had the venison stovie instead. I'll be thinking about that for the next 6.5 yr

The nachos are obscene and could feed a small Highland village . The pub is like a standard old man pub but with shouty music . It has charm.

The Auld Hoose always has some great ales on. The nachos are probably the best in Edinburgh, they are not a solo affair however.

They will not serve children or do doggy bags if you do not finish, so bring some tupperware if you want this. Despite this a nice place!
