Newport Aquarium

The new stingray exhibit is excellent! Plenty of opportunity to touch the creatures. They are very friendly ! A great feature is a hand wash/dry/sanitizing station! Wish more touch areas had that!

Great aquarium , especially for kids. Check the 1:1 adult to child ticket special deal online. Unfortunately no octopuses found, though they have an exhibit . (Hopefully someday!) We love shark rays !

Tickets a little high ($22 for adults) but it's a fun way to spend a couple hours. Go during the afternoon on a weekday if you can - you'll miss most of the crowd.

So much fun!! Liked the seahorse exhibit but all exhibits were set up so well . Such a variety!

We had a great experience. My daughter has been several times. My favorite exhibit is the shark tank.

In the middle of a shopping plaza located right on the Ohio River , the Newport Aquarium offers great exhibits . Try ordering tickets online to get a few dollars off admission.

Nice aquarium . Definitely get a times ticket for entry. This place gets packed. You may want to call and find out when the low traffic times are. So many kids, viewing can be difficult.

What a great way to spend an afternoon. So many great sea creatures to see.

Stop by at Sharky’s Cafe for a yummy pretzel and cheese to dip it in !

If you want to skip str8 to the sharks and penguins go to the Btm of the escilator make a hard right then last door on the right. It puts you in the cafe right before the pet the sharks!

The aquarium is your best chance at getting shark bit in Kentucky. A very well run facility.

This is the line on Saturday afternoon. 45 minute wait in the hot sun. Poor planning when you are asking people to pay $23 to get in. Calling management of the Newport Aquarium...anybody home??

At $23 a head for general admission, it's a bit expensive , but it is a really nice aquarium

I also recommend going to see the Penguins they are very fun to see.

What could be better each Christmas than seeing Santa and his sleigh SCUBA diving with the sharks? It's just one of the annual traditions at the Newport Aquarium.

If you go in the morning and it's crowded , start from the end (penguins & sharks) then work your way clock-wise to the front to avoid most of the crowd. (But only if you've been there before.)

be sure to visit Gator alley , they have a huge alligator there.

The special events . And Sunday nights kids were free all summer. Spectacular.

The aquarium is awesome but the penguin encounter isn't really worth $25 and that's coming from someone who absolutely loves them.

If you expect to come back again, go ahead and get the annual pass. Eat before you come, it isn't just the admission that is high.

Ride the ducks which is right by Newport Aquarium is hilarious and fun. I went with my family and thought it was going to be lame but I laughed more then than I have in a long time.

Scuba Santa is fun around Christmas .

I really love the aquarium in general but it is very expensive for admission.

It took us about two hours to tour the aquarium . Very nice exhibits , but lots and lots of screaming kids.

Denver has a secret napping place by the penguins . Look for him there if he isn't swimming around.

Weekends in Feb. kids are free with one adult. Check before you come, but my child (9 years old) was free.
