Have yourself the perfect lunch . Glorious rare cheese burger and a solid glass of red. The quiet dark bar is a little piece of solitude amidst the humid, bustling streets of NYC.
The best Steakhouse i have ever been. Make a reservation 1-2 days before. Try Mutton Chops and Supreme Fillet Mignon .
My new favorite steakhouse in the city , great vibe, service and most importantly some of the best steak I’ve had. The mutton is a must as well . Be aware that the kings cut could feed an entire table!
This truly is a New York experience, a place to splurge and truly enjoy every minute. Everything from my mutton to the sides were excellent. Make sure to leave room for dessert , def banana’s foster
If you're sitting at the bar , get the filet Mignon skewers . They are the same amount of meat as the filet Mignon at a fraction of the price, and equally as tasty.
Mutton Chop is legendary and the T-bone steak is delightful. Sides are also great! Ambience and service are exceptional. I highly recommend!
One of the best filet mignon I had in my life so far. This place is rich with history, flavors and after your visit, good memories. It may be pricy , but you should try it at least once!
The best porterhouse steak in the world.
Kings cut prime rib is big enough for three... and amazing at the same time
Everyone says to get the mutton but don't overlook choosing to sit downstairs over sitting upstairs. The downstairs has much more charm and rambunctiousness of an NYC steakhouse .
The mutton chop in the picture is delicious, but the prime rib is even better, more succulent and flavorful. Don't worry about missing the house signature dish, it's worth it!
Porterhouse and the large green salad were the best meal that i had in ny.but the service... excellent! They cant be american they have to be british. They are so kind!!!
The experience of a porterhouse for 3 and Mutton-chop in the Lincoln room is unlike any other steakhouse . Keens steaks far and away are the most flavorful and tastefully aged I’ve come across in NY.
The mutton is legendary and delicious (don’t sleep on the mint jelly ), but some disassembly required. Skip the seafood platter , just go for oysters . Get the bacon , dip in blue cheese
Wow. From the service to the food, everything was outstanding. I ordered the lobster but we also had the mutton chop which is a MUST! Key lime pie for dessert was unexpectedly good!
One of the best steak houses I've ever been to. You can do no wrong if you have the mutton chop , mashed potatoes and a glass of your favorite red wine . This will suffice for two patrons.
AmaZing!!! It had that untouched decor with the smoking pipes lining the ceiling. The sides were amazing no matter the choice. Porterhouse for 2 was perfectly cooked. Service was great so was desert
Greaaat place! Marvelous food and great attention, try the wedge salad and the lamb chops ! Also they have great deserts ! Congratulations
On par if not better than Peter Lugars as best steakhouse in NYC. Believe the hype: get the mutton chop and pair it with a glass of scotch or whiskey . Prompt service as well !
Fantastic steakhouse . Very traditional New York style steakhouse . Great meat and wine . Great before and after a show depending on your schedule. Highly suggest in midtown. One of the best in the city .
This legendary spot has been around since 1885. Though the steak is excellent, Keen’s is best known for its mutton-a huge, bone-in roasted lamb that will have you channeling your inner cavewoman. Read more
Everthing here is top notch. Starting at the bar where they have a nice selection of bourbons . At the table you can't go wrong with any of the steaks . I recommend getting a mutton chop for the table.
mutton chop is indeed fantastic, as is the creamed spinach . service was impeccable all around, and they do a great job of preserving the old school classic vibe
One of the best steakhouses in the city with great history and atmosphere
Old school steak house with no frills, just meat. They are famous for their single malt scotch collection (at least 350 bottles)
A New York institution steakhouse with an iconic mutton chop and a very solid burger .
You have reached the summits of NY Steak dining once you slide into the dark, warm, and inviting wine soaked walls of Keens. I order the mutton . He wants the hash . Both partial to a gibson.
Legendary NYC steakhouse . The filet was perfect. If you’re having a drink before dinner , my suggestion would be to wait until you’re seated at your table. The bar area is more “dive” than restaurant..
This is an awesome steakhouse !! Steaks (so large) cooked exactly as ordered! Appetizers and sides also generous in portion size and awesome taste. Wine list unmatched! Ambience & Service excellent!
Everything was great here! This is a five star restaurant all the way. From the service, to the atmosphere, and of course the perfectly cooked bone in T-bone steak . Can’t wait to go back.
Love their double lamb chops ... Oysters you definitely have to try.. Highly recommend the butterscotch sundae & creme brûlée ... On a side note... They make an awesome French martini & dirty martini !
For more adventurous carnivores, there’s the eminent mutton chop , a boot-size hunk of meat flanked by fatty ribbons of mature lamb and pierced through the center by a crest-shaped slice of bone. Read more
Amazing place with a storied past. Great appetizers were Caesar salad , Lump Crab Cocktail , and Crab Cakes . Famous Mutton Chop was huge, outstanding, and very flavorful. Tough to cut but still great.
The best steak ever had. Ordered Prime Porterhouse for Two which filet mignon and sirloin . Friendly and cozy place. Good for anniversary.
Iconic steakhouse in the city . Mutton chops are supposed their claim of fame but we wanted steak that night. Ordered the porterhouse for 2. So much food, excellent quality of meat.
A very good restaurant and food. Unfortunately our group of 4 encountered a very unpleasant and snobbish waitress named Ramona who did not care about foreigners. Taking this away it is a VERY good.
My favorite steakhouse in NYC. Expensive but it's ok for special occasions.I usually get the Filet mignon ,it's amazing. They cook it perfectly so it's tender and juicy. The service here is excellent.
Mutton Chop was massive and delish! Can't go wrong with the filet and the Yukon mashed were soooo good! Sit at the bar to eat if u like. Those guys rock!
The mutton chops are everything they're said to be. What if you lived your life always ordering the mutton whenever you found yourself at a warm clubby place that served it? You could do worse.
Can be relatively casual (which is nice). 8 oz. filet mignon au poivre was worth the $50 price tag. Asparagus could've been a bit more seasoned & cooked. Affogato is a great way to end the meal.
What's not to like about this jewel? Bartenders that are second to none, great food and the most interesting patrons. But the piece de resistance is the Hot Fudge Sundae . At a Steakhouse ? YES!!
The restaurant still features classics like Oysters Rockefeller , Prime Rib and Dover Sole. However, the star of the show is the Legendary Mutton Chop , a huge bone-in hunk of juicy saddle of lamb . Read more
Def lives up to the hype! Super old school & "manly" interior. Steak definitely lives up to its name...but I would personally ask them to hold the salt if you're not too keen on salt like me!
A midtown institution with traditional service and fantastic food. Loved that the bread basket also came with blue cheese dip and vegetable crudités
Get a mutton chop with a side of history at this century old steakhouse that offers delicious food, perfect cocktails , & a killer ambiance. Those on a budget can hit up the bar room. [Eater 38 Member]
Fantastic! One of the best steaks of my life. I had the New York Sirloin . perfection. The "12 ingredients chopped salad " is also memorable. Cant wait to come back.
Really old traditional NY steakhouse . You wouldn’t change a bit yet everything seems a bit aged like their meat.prices are high but right for the quality and history of the place
For less than the price of the famous mutton (mutton !), treat yourself to the chopped salad , three slabs of thick cut bacon and a glass of Bruichladdich 10yr. Dinner of champions.
Cool spot with a lot of history! Would probably skip unless you plan on ordering the mutton , which was great and is what they’re known for.
AMAZING new zealand lamb. Have it medium rare and enjoy!!! - Nicole Lam
My favorite venue to see live music! Always fun and easy to get to. - Naquel Stevens
