5 and 2 yr old favorite places. Always declare, "best day ever". Make a grocery list for dinner to enhance play time. And TALK to the staff . They're smart, great with kids and enhance every trip.
Also a part of our "Moo-seum Experience," the FWMSH is an interactive venue that includes dinosaur bones , 4D theater , kids activites and Omni IMAX theater . Admission included with FWSSR grounds pass.
The exhibits are great, and don't miss the omni theater . Makes me feel like a kid again!
An ASTC reciprocal admission museum - Check out the new display of memorabilia from Forth Worths legendary Leonards Department Store
Used to be good. Now it's more about infotainment and the new expansion is a lot of wasted space. Since 2009 have only been a handful of times. The museum preschool thankfully is intact. That's great.
There are free Star Parties every month featuring telescopes and Noble Planetarium staffers to help navigate you through the night sky. It’s stellar!
If you live in the area - you must become a member. We have more than gotten our money's worth. Perfect for 100 degree weather and cold rainy weather too.
The exhibit next to the Planetarium showcases a 400 pound pallasite meteorite from the Brenham field in Kansas. Also located here are an official Sputnik satellite & a Manned Maneuvering Unit replica. Read more
You learn stuff here, but you have a great deal of fun while doing so... If you are worried of looking nerdy to your date, this local shouldn't be one of your concerns.
Be sure to talk with the docents and curators. They're great and really enhance the experience for kids.
Loved the children 's area. Definitely worth a visit on a hot summer day.
Bring extra clothes for the out door water activity. Lots of fun.
Museum is much different than when I was a kid. Seemed like they had more exhibits the . My daughter loves the children 's area. She's worn out when we leave.
I loved this museum a lot more before they renovated it. There's not nearly as much to see or do now and it's way more expensive .
The DaVinci traveling exhibit is very interesting. This museum has a ton of things for kids, young and old, to do. My 15 yr old daughter had almost as much fun as my 20 month old daughter did.
Make sure you check out a movie at the Omni theatre while you're here!
They have an 8 story IMAX Theater that can't be beat!
The Dino Labs are a must see
Visit the Dino Labs, the planetarium , and the Energy Blast 4D
I've been visiting the FW Museum & IMAX since I was a kid, and I have a blast at every visit. They recently did some major renovations too, supposedly they're amazing! :) Read more
if we lived in Dallas/FW area, I'd get membership here. So many activities for kids.
Access to the waterpark area through the children 's museum area only. There is an age limit unless you are accompanying a child.
Lots of hands on experience for the kids for all ages.

This museum has something for everyone.
When buying tickets, I was told "Most exhibits are geared toward children ". What I should've been told is that it is literally a children 's museum . Wasted $30.
The exhibits are always good!
Nice exhibits that change up often. IMAX theater .
I love the year pass for a family gift .
Parking in the garage is convenient but pricey - be advised!
The museum was more interesting, educational , had more exhibits and sections, AND CHEAPER before the 20.00 admission prices paid for the renovations. Very disappointed.
The IMAX is always a great deal.
Families can pull up their sleeves and dig for dinosaur bones in the “DinoDig” exhibit . Powered by ParentsConnect.com
Parking lot said $7 parking pay when you leave. There was no one there.
Check out the huge section of steel beam from the World Trade Center. Very moving!
Get a membership. .so worth it!
A great way to entertain the kids and educate too. 3 Museums across the street and ample parking .
Cool 9/11 exhibit .
Good times for the kids
Be prepared to wait forever to get in if you aren't a member. Least efficient admissions line ever.
Go to the traveling exhibits . Those are always the coolest. Traveling exhibits are the ones that are not permanent.
In the Energy Blast section, there is a 10 minute 4D ride that you must try! it is excellent
They have really improved the seating area for parents! Way to go!
Don't get a salad in the cafe they use old salad - leaves you hungry. The kids meals are overpriced and not that much food. Too many daycare field trips - they should try to limit the number of kids.
Great museum , expensive lunch
Look at the bricks with names on them. One says Viva Las Vegas on it. That one is my family's brick.
Dinosaur exhibit
We love this place!
Loving This!!
The 270 degrees viewing experience is just out of the world.. I wish they can screen the movies instead of just documentaries.. But overall, must go n try out!! - Ankit Malhotra
