The rumors are true, it's actual Chicago deep dish , just in New York. Crust is heavenly dense, sauce is saucy, and the cheese .... it's all perfect. Order the largest size possible, lunch the next day.
The deep dish pizza here was very good! The price and size was great for sharing with a friend. Super authentic , super small NYC location but I would go here again and again. Great pizza date spot
emmett and dylan represent chicago in the best way. the deep dish recipe has a perfect ratio of sour/wine sauce, just the right amount of cheese , & the crust is crunchy, not firm. i will be a regular
If you’re craving an authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza in the middle of the city , this place is your go to! Combines the gooey goodness of a deep dish with New York’s famous dough .. heaven♥️
The only quality deepdish pizza you'll find in NYC. This place is legit. A medium is 6 slices, split between two you'll be full but it's well worth it.
The thin crust is incredible. Chicagoans don’t actually eat deep dish that often, so be authentic and get one with cheese and sausage .
Everything is great and I love the mozzarella sticks ... home made and delicious! I ate them all before I took the pic... oops! You will have to try them yourself!
I don’t usually go for deep dish but I dug the pizza here even though it’s not what I consider pizza . Very cool spot that feels like it could be in a college town .
From a Chicago girl whose lived in NYC for 10 years, this was so necessary. Thank you Emmett for opening and for doing deep dish right. I could eat here every day.
Amazing! Emmett and Dylan couldn't have been more than gracious hosts . Although their specialty is Chicago style deep dish , their own him crust was amazing. Happy it was beer and wine only.
Deep dish >> thin crust here. Thin crust isn't bad, but the deep dish kills it. If you want authentic , get spicy giardinera (pickled pepper and veggies ) on it. Tiny dining area, so takeout or Caviar .
Big fan of the deep dish , but an even bigger fan of the thin crust . Hot Papi and a Veltins all day at this place.
Hmm, being from Chicago, this is a hard one. The sauce is great, but the crust is too thick/hard and the toppings were sparse. New Yorkers, don't judge deep-dish pizza based on this place-mediocre.
Believe the hype. This place is incredible. Grab a seat at the bar for extra attentive service from the amazing staff . Pizza is life.
This is the place that will make you feel like you're in Chicago. The deep dish pizza has cheesy oozing out, making you scream for more. Read more
Try Emmett’s new No-Ketchup-Allowed Chicago Dog ! It's loaded with beef , chopped onions , sliced tomatoes , pickle spears, peppers , relish , celery salt , and mustard . Only $8.95 with fries . Read more
If you like deep dish , Emmett's will not disappoint. Crust is thick enough to hold up the delicious toppings, even if you save the leftovers for later.
Oh my goodness... Delicious Chicago-style Pizza made by real Chicagoans. Outstanding flavor and texture, friendly guys , totally chill vibe. Superb.
Chicago style pizza in NYC. Pretty cool if you're into that sorta thing. (They also had a Chicago style hot dog on the menu!)
Authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza - worth the (usually very long) wait. Chicago local brews usually on tap !
Have had Emmett's and been transported, but have also had it and been disappointed by the crust. Regardless: I love deep dish . I will keep eating Emmett's pizza
Best pizza in New York . Both deep dish and thin crust are the best you can find. Awesome wine too ????????
Generous topping portions and lots of cheese . Small feeds 1, medium 2, large 3, and family feeds 4. Family size comes in a special extra large pan!
Everything is great. Cool brothers from Chicago own it. Fun locals hangout and are always open for a chat. Good times.
Pretty close to the real deal in Chicago! Staff was very accommodating and attentive and the Greek salad was surprisingly delicious too.
First, Chicago pizza and New York pizza shouldn't be compared. Apples and oranges . Second, you need their homemade mozzarella sticks .
You go to Emmett’s for a dense, pastry-crusted beast of a thing, with a blanket of stretchy cheese and a reservoir of zesty sauce . It requires 25 minutes to make from start to finish.
I had visited Chicago about 6 years ago and I picked up right where I left off from my last bite in chi town .
I got cheese Louis and oh my words!! It was absolutely delicious!!
Good place with decent choice of drinks. Its really famous with their Deep Dish Pizza which is something worth to try.
Don't come here too hungry. There can be quite a wait (small space + 45 min pizza cooking times) BUT it's worth it.
Disagree with the tip about the food being bad, "including their specialty, deep dish pizza ." The pizza is phenomenal. Come here, you won't regret it.
Actual, proper Chicago-style deep dish and a good beer selection (including several Goose Island beers ). Definitely recommended.
Can't comment on how real or how much Chicago the deep dish is but it is the best I've had in NYC.
Deep-dish Chicago style (is it?) pizza is something you can eat three days at least. They say medium is 2-3 person portion, but I would say rather 4-5.
Small deep dish is good for a date. Medium is good for two hungry guys. Keep it Chicago and get the Goose Island beer ; it's good.
If you love Chicago-style deep dish , then you can have it in New York. So good I ordered another to take home.
Pizza is delicious. Not really NY style tho. The restaurant is super loud and the sound quality of the played music was shitty
Wow holy pizza coma. Got the meat lovers family size pizza . It was amazing just don't expect to move after consumption.
Beside the pizza you must try the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread ????????????
I lived in Chicago. Love the vibe, the salad , and the pizza . Great beer and wine selection .
one of the only places in the city that serves Chicago style Italian beef ! ????????
The best and maybe only deep dish in NYC , reminds me of home sweet home Chicago.
The classic was bomb!! Love this place.
The thin crust is secretly as good as the deep dish .
Better than Chicago's deep dish . Ask Dylan behind the bar for sparkling red wine too
Medium pizza is more than enough for two people. Go early or expect to leave your cell phone number for a wait.
Ridiculously good! @EricHoRaw on Instagram
I'm a NYC-style pizza loyalist, but on a blustery-cold night... I give in. This stuff is good. Sticks to your ribs .
Pizza , mozz sticks , salad , wines are excellent.
The pepperoni square is out of this world. Favorite pizza in Manhattan! ???? - Georgia Luddecke
The grandma's pizza (cheese, tomato sauce, basil sauce) is solid, and the rice balls were surprisingly delicious (warm cream and rice, breaded)! Great for a quick, affordable meal in Soho. - Lauren Mac
This place has an old school diner vibe with draft Budweiser and solid pizza. Plus there's awesome rap music always playing. Try a slice of Sicilian. - Jamie Lonie
Always an amazing mix of people and entertainment. One of my fav spots to lay in summer. - Barton Smith
Massive shop, mostly outdoor seating. Sundae bar/parlor and walk-in pies cakes rolling out soon. Great staff and 88 flavors ???? Banana agave is rich, Macadamia Butter Passionfruit is an EXPERIENCE - Kevin Yeh
Mini cannoli's are to die for! The regular ones are better than the chocolate ones. Also - incredible decaf coffee (for late night drop ins) - John Fontein
