Fiesta Island

Dogs are allowed in all areas except for the Youth Campground and Least Tern nesting sites (seasonal). Daily 6:00 am - 10:00 pm, this area offers calmer waters than the ocean and sand dunes to run on.

This place is awesome to jog, bike , water craft or just relax & watch the mission bay skyline. There's even a fenced area for dogs. Definitely coming back here.

Justin McLachlan, author of Time Up, here. Fiesta Island doesn't fare well in my story, but it's beautifully untouched park lined by beaches and coves where you can walk your dogs off leash .

Huge area to take the dogs. Off leash area is fun for dogs to romp and play in the water.

Get there early it fills up quick on weekends

Good spot to take your dogs or even if your looking for a spot for Camping !!

Don't forget to bring s'mores when you have a bonfire !

There’s a reason my mom always calls it Pregnant Island .

During the day you can use the parking lot as a launching point for lots of different activities; we started a ride out of here.

If you're on a bike , be careful of the motor homes that like to pull out in front of you.

Go for a walk, run, or bike ride on Fiesta Island. There are fire pits (which are the last in SoCal!) for the nights!! :) Good times!

Great off-leash dog park . During summer, Sea World has an impressive fireworks display every night at 9:50pm, which is viewable from Fiesta Island.

If your dog sh*ts in the water, you still have to pick it up

Off lead dog beach but don't expect La Jolla shores bc you won't find that here. Watch where you step!  
