Tempe Town Lake

Beautiful for a picnic and to enjoy sunsets . Its also a great open space to go for a run or biking . The only disappointing part is how unclean the water is from the lake . Overall a great place to be!

Tempe Town Lake is a great place to visit for the view , especially when the sun is setting you get a beautiful glimpse of the sunset and the lake . At night time the lights on the bridge turn on too!

Sometimes I come here to just get my mind off of things. I like to come at night because it is a nice scenic view with all the lights. They have multiple different boat rentals : kayaking , paddle boat .

Want to relax, this is the right place. The best time to go is in fall spring, but if you go in the summer go at night. Rent a paddle boat and go for a ride on the lake or just stroll along the side.

The lake is beautiful at night and the lights are so pretty. It's a perfect place to be at any time. I wouldn't suggest actually getting in the lake , but the area is so fun with the park and events .

On my Phoenix metro dog friendly list. Personally verifying each one. On leash park . Lots of people walk their dogs here, so please be sure your pooch is ok with meeting dogs on leash.

I love all the water activities that are available intercity here at tempe town lake... The free workout group classes , the walking path , and the group water lessons. ????#great

Very nice place to go for a run, just be mindful of all of the events they have there! Try checking the Tempe Parks and Rec Department website if you’re looking to visit.

Very nice place to go on a nice cruise on your bike or skateboard. If you go close to sundown or night time, be sure to check out all the lights under certain bridges !

Tempe Town Lake is perfect for everything! But as a runner, it's my go to place. If you start at the Art 's Center and run to the freeway bridge and back again it is 5 miles! Beautiful scenery & clean

Perfect for an afternoon bike ride ! Not that many water fountains so make sure you come prepared. There is a nice big sidewalk with a bridge that connects to the other side.

Fun place to rent boats, fish , and admire Arizona's weather. I'm pretty sure you can bring food for picnics at the beach park too which is a plus. Walking distance from campus!

This is an excellent place to go. Tempe Town Lake is the spot for hosting all sorts of cultural events . I recently went to the My Fest 2012 event . This event had FREE food and bottled water! WOW .FREE

Came here for the Ironman but definitely will be back to rent a paddle boat and enjoy the open atmosphere . Great place to go for a run or have a picnic !

This is a very nice area for anything from birthday parties to impromptu exercise sessions. It's also a great place to get a break from studies if you're a student at ASU.

I love tempe town lake! Its pet friendly and kid friendly . I love riding my bike around the lake it has great trails and a perfect day for picnics ! overall great park !

Perfect place to ride your bike or go for a jog. There is kind of a smell but its easy to get over. Lots of activities and rentals.

If you live in AZ or you're just visiting, you can't miss a sunset over Tempe Town Lake. Beautiful scenery for a late afternoon run or boat trip.

Definitely rent a boat to go out on the lake . It's peaceful and really beautiful and it's not overly priced to do.

Has a pretty view of the lake and long walkway to go running on if you like to exercise outside. Really nice at night too, if you want to just sit on a bench and enjoy the night.

Whenever you want to go biking , boating, or maybe just relax outside and take photos this is a great place to be. They host many events such as Octoberfest, Edgefest, and concerts at the beach park .

Looking for a running course to run? Come to Town Lake , but if you want to avoid the heat, I suggest coming after 6pm. Enjoy the sunset while running by the lake .

Take the kids to the splash pad to cool off during the hot summers, then its a quick ride down to Tempe Marketplace for lunch !

This is a nice place to go for a run in the early mornings to afternoons. The bathrooms are clean and there are water fountains perfect for after an exhausting workout

This lake is a great place to run or walk your dog. I even suggest having a picnic here. It's a perfect place close to campus to just enjoy the outdoors!

Biking in the morning from say, 6am to 8am, is just awesome...You get the sunrise and hardly noone is around to get in your way...

Spring -fall Riverbound Sports does an evening sunset paddle at the marina that is beautiful.

Try using a remote controlled boat to get the lure way out there. try pulling a piece of Styrofoam behind the boat and set the lure on that. you can figure out the rest

Happy Earth Day! Take the 5k run from the parking lot , across the Rural bridge , and back Via Mill . It's still cool enough in the mornings for your lungs to enjoy the fresh air !
