The steakhouse choice of FiDi worker bees, 5A5 delivers on the steak front. There's a Japanese bent here, in that the name originates from the five senses and A5 grade Japanese Wagyu . Read more
The filet is the best, most inexpensive piece of meat I've ever tasted. Have had world class filets (kind of my thing) and this is awesome! Get with the blue cheese wedge salad for a perfect pairing.
Among the best steak restaurants in SF, a decent wine list as well as a rather stylish interior make it different to the traditional steak houses
The T-bone was a high quality meat, complimented with a sweet, hearty meat sauce and yolk . Iceberg was crispy and fresh. Fellow diner ordered the filet but didn't recommend it.
Steaks are amazing, truffle fries to die for, bacon bread superb and service over the top...bathrooms a must see. We enjoyed the hell out off ourselves and had an 8 and 10 yr old in tow!!!!
5 = 5 Senses, and A5 = Wagyu marbled beef from Japan. This is a modern, lively steak lounge with a celebrated bar scene. A touch of Vegas high-rolling, if you will.
Try the lobster tempera and one of the A5 steaks . As long as you don't mind the expense . Overall a good restaurant to bring on a date.
the truffle fries are amazing♡ service is always always excellent. must try the bone in rib-eye with aged balsamic demi glaze :)
Server Ali is great - personable, knowledgeable , fun but not overbearing! A5 grade Wagyu is phenomenal! Also loved: hamachi shooters , truffled mac and cheese with lobster .
There is a $475 wagu beef sampler on the menu. We split it w/ 8 people & I feel like we got our money's worth. Ask the waiter to show you the beef *before* it's cooked for a "Cuts o' Beef 101" lesson
Had the porterhouse with sous vide egg and bacon jam , and it was excellent!
The lobster mac and cheese is sooooo delicious. Basically everything is good. The ribs and chips , the beet salad , the chard, the potatoes and bacon
The atmosphere is great. The ribeye is definitely a house specialty , and the portion is decent. Clam chowder was a bit salty for my liking, but their dessert is amazing.
The regular steaks are great. The fancy Kobe is a nice treat but the cheaper steaks are a great value .
This steakhouse features a 5@5 happy hour with $5 wines , cocktails , beers and appetizers . Diners can get 2 Shooters for $5, a $5 french dip w/au jus on Thu/Fri, and half off select wines on Mondays. Read more
The wagyu sashimi and Yuma spoons are great. This is my new go-to steakhouse in sf.
The Watermelon Tuna Tataki is amazing! It's a true Japanese fusion :)
Steak was good, albeit a little undercooked. Mac and cheese was delicious and so was the bacon bread .
Filet mignon with flowers is amazing. Make sure to go medium rare.
Hamachi Shooters ! and of course the steak . However, if you plan on having a cheat night, order the bread pudding than contact me for personal Training at www.personaltrainingSF.com ;)
The food is to die for.. try the Colorado lamb duo..exquisite! The waiter is awesome so be sure to tip generously!
Come for the wagyu , stay for the truffle Mac n cheese
Kobe beef amazing. 4 oz. Is all you need, honestly it's so rich! Compare 50-50 with 100%
The is the type of steak house that serves glasses of wine from the night before (stores by barely corking). Bartender refused to pour from new bottle.
Order the World of Wagyu tasting and prepare yourself for some of the most amazing steak you'll ever have.
If you come to 5A5 and don't try the lobster tempura app.. you are blowing it. Price is steep, but you will never forget it.
Be sure to try the 80 Sips Challenge tasting menu March 19th-30th and rate the wines for a chance to win $500! www.bottlenotes.com/challenge
the Lychee Martini was the best I have ever tasted. Hits the right spot while you are trying to eat the 28 oz boned ribeye ....Yummy
The best old fashioned you'll find in San Francisco.
Amazing food and a so nice place. Simply our best diner in 15 day in us. Be careful they close at 9pm. Burner Denis
Best Wagyu in the City !
Fancy , delicious, classy . Make sure to book .
Great steak , mediocre service. Waiting an hour+ after ordering doesn't match the price point they sell...
Hamachi shooters are great, oyster shooter is velvety. Great experience.
The regular bone in ribeye is the best in the city . Ask for the sauce on the side.
The food is delicious! Good service , nice interior. Love this place.
Great food. Make sure someone else picks up the tab!
Echo on truffle fries , Australian beef , and just ask for Ryan. Best servi
T-bone and ice berg salad
Steaks are meh but party rock Saturday nights are crackin'! Love the older (late 20s-early 30s), non-ghetto crowd. GL ONLY!
Perfect for events and meet ups!
Sundays is half off wines . Some other dude said Mondays. He was lying.
If its too crowded upstairs, take the elevator to the basement and check out the bar there.
5A5 offers those attending 42nd Street Moon a complimentary glass of champagne . Night of performance only, please.
5a5 ribcap if you are splurging. Worth it.
The 25oz Rib Eye is very tasty, make sure you're hungry!
Try the 4Oz A5 Wagyu Ny - Holy shit. Worth the price.
Great fillet mignons !
