One of our favorite new places to grab a beer with friends and watch sports on the giant projectors . Liters of beer are only around $15, which is a pretty great deal if you ask us.
Very good beer hall in the village (we don't have that many). Great space and atmosphere and a decent selection of beer . Get one of the milk truck grilled cheeses to go with your drink.
Pretty pricey @ other times since there may be a cover. Best time is afterwork...HH Mon- Thurs 5-7pm: $5 wine + $6 pints of beer . Great grilled cheese + other small bites of food in ~5000 sf-space!
Excellent venue for hazing! Assemble a crew of douchetastic fellows, order 3 liters of beer each, chug 2 of them & pour the third over the unsuspecting hazee. The staff will not interrupt the revelry.
For beer halls in Manhattan, this one takes the cake . Very chill and relaxed environment . Happy hour prices are just about right (for Manhattan )
This is the place you come to when you feel like having a couple of cocktails and talking to the overabundance of business gals that need a break from wall street. Looks like I got a new favorite bar .
HUGE BEER HALL very fun place drinks are kinda expensive here. Recommend making a reservation before you go so you can have a table to sit at and eat. Very fun I would go again
The folks behind Heartland Brewery took the beer hall model and made it uniquely American with an East-meets-West food menu and a lineup of exclusive beers brewed at Greenpoint Beer Works in Brooklyn.
My FAVORITE bar in Soho/West Village . The beers are cold and the pretzels are large
Beers brewed in Greenpoint just for them. (It’s glorious.) Pilsners . Chocolaty porters . A wheat beer called Marco’s Wit that’ll pair perfectly with warmer weather (blood orange is involved).
Cool indoor beer garden , great for the cold weather months. The place is huge. Beer comes in three sizes. Grilled Cheese isn't too bad as will. Highly recommend going, during the week is best.
Did you know that this place used to be a car garage ? Now it's a giant place to drink! Great to go with friends, very chill and a good place to just hang and kick back with a few beers .
Beer and pretzel were good. Great big beerhall-like setting. Big downfall on a Saturday afternoon were the groups of frat-like 20 somethings -- rowdy to say the least!
Best place in the West Village to watch a big sports game . Massive projectors pull down from the ceiling and the huge space never feels too crowded or rowdy.
This is the second time I've been back to this place and it did surprise me. Good music , good beer and lots fun. It gets quiet noisy and but over all I had a great time.
This place has been a favorite for wedding after parties, concerts and other events . Come for the beer , stay for the fancy bacon-cheddar-blue grilled cheese . Read more
This is an amazing place to hang with group friends due to the large space throughout the old-style building. The beer are all made especially for Houston Hall!
This former garage is now an enormous beer hall , filled with groups of friends, a great variety of beer (obviously), and amazing grilled cheese choices!
Come with a group and get a table. Houston hall is a beer hall fused with a sports bar so it can be fratty and loud but it's the only beer hall around
Awesome space. Came on a Saturday night there was a 5$ cover. It was crowded but not packed. Variety of beer selection but also stocked w full bar . Good DJ .
Great place to grab beer with a group! Has a cozy inn interior ceiling, large picnic tables and warm decor. Saturdays are dj nights.
Great beer selection and food - awesome open space to hang and can watch sports too
Fantastic beer selection . Expansive space. Do yourself a favor and come here and make some bad decisions. Just please don't tell your next convenient friend to have their birthday here.
A great deal for beers while watching games on the GIANT screens. Relatively inexpensive and fun place to go with friends for a night of downing beer !
a grandiose, old-school bar/warehouse. while beer and communal tables cover the ground, the crowd is not your laid-back biergarden type, but more so the corporate juggling yuppie.
A 5000 sq ft beer hall that used to be a car garage . Wooden benches , antique stools and a huge projector playing sports . Super beer selection too.
Wonderful staff ! Huge open space and great venue. I think it would be perfect for a wedding as well . Great for after movie at film forum snack .
For a $5 cover charge you get really great music , amazing vibe, and the opportunity to get pints of beer the size of Disney World chicken wings . (Seriously, what's with that?)
Delicious grilled cheese sandwiches to go with a great selection of beer , but unless you come at off hours or book a table in advance, its a crowded mess
Be transported to a Munich style bier hall with an industrial feel. Prompt table service, craft beers and salty snacks are the thing here. Good for big groups too.
Pumpkin ale ! So good! Simple beer list of home brews , beer hall was packed and pretty cool.
Great beer and food. The space is really cool, too. Old with lots of original beams / structure . A classic beer hall .
Huge beers and pretzels AND they show sports on big projection screens. We come for work happy hours all the time. Great beer hall !
This is a post-work happy hour place. Decent beers . Come during lunch when it's super quiet and get a grilled cheese .
New. Ales & Lagers . Wings & Beer . Brewed in Greenpoint. "Monstrous-ginormous" projector to watch sports . Menu (Treat your self - http://goo.gl/BziUe) Read more
This huge beer hall was once a garage , but the converted space now serves grilled cheese , wings , and craft beer to day drinkers and after-work partiers.
Large and loud . Great beer selection . I imagine it's ideal for a big party but watch out for large herds of sales bro's if, you know, that's not your thing.
Great food, super atmosphere, lots of fun. And oh try the sliders they are sooooooooo Yummmmmmmy ????????????☺️
The best beer garden-esque location Manhattan has to give Bklyn a run for its money. $15 dollar liters & don't forget to try the grilled cheese .
Massive beer hall . A must see place if you like beer . It was very crowded on a Saturday evening.
came here on a Saturday afternoon and waited 20 min at the bar for a beer , definitely get a table so you have a waiter/waitress to avoid the craziness at the bar
Great atmosphere with a great selection of beers . Be careful though, the beers are a lot stronger than you might think!
Great atmosphere with steins of beer . Perfect for group outings and you forget you are in NYC.
Great beer selection . Can get really crowded on weekends, I don't know how the waitstaff handles orders from all the tables.
Awesome German Beer Hall . Great atmosphere. They have maßes (liters) and delicious grilled cheeses . My only complaint: where the pretzels at?
Great for a group looking to ease into some dancing later in the night... You can get a couple beers in you first
Good beers and food that I wish that I had a chance to try. I'm hoping I'll be there again soon.
Remember the Utgarde Keep instance in World of Warcraft, in WOTLK expac? This place is it, with fewer dragons.
Great venue for friends gathering after work with great beer selections in stein glasses
The bacon cheddar blue is one of the best grilled cheeses I've ever had. Get it with some chips , they've got a slight spice kick.
beer sausage sampler are awesome (I must admit I don't remember the entire night though ????) - babs veloso
Hesitant between a pretzel or a wurst? Stop and try the Pretzelwurt Amanda; a little bit of both worlds! ♥️ - Salim Afiune Maya
Great selection of rotating beers. Foosball and jenga too. - Ben Gasparini
Recommend for private party! Held one last Saturday with approx 25p in platform area - food was delish, no one was ever without a drink, and DJ is the best. Also very reasonable pp pricing. ???????? - Stef S
Can’t go wrong with anything you order. The tomato sauce is the real star of these slices! Make sure to bring in some cash. - Shinnawy
