Lots of different trails , so it's easy to take a different route every time, get just the distance you want, stay on the slopes/in the trees or out on the wide Ridge trails .
Take the West Ridge Trail down and the Stream trail back up for an easier uphill hike of about 2 miles.
Be careful if you park outside of the lot, there aren't any signs up, but you can get a ticket for parking on the side of the road (like we did)... Great hiking spot though.
Beautiful place to walk the dogs off leash. MTB: Go next door for great single track in Joaquin Miller Park .
Nice place in Oakland to go hiking , but go early due to limited parking .
Tres Sendas trail goes thru a beautiful canyon with many nice redwoods and a stream bed.
