Nice and traditional coffee , one of the last ones remaining, breakfast till 12am! Newspapers available. If you are tired of shopping at MAhu, come for a cup of coffee or Strudel
Classic Viennese cafe opened in 1867. Try cappuccino here. Good place for breakfast . Usually it is very crowded , I suggest to visit it during the week.
Typical Altwiener Kaffeehaus. The Guglhupf tastes like made with real eggs and butter, the Strudel-dough is a real one and the hot chocolate is made with whole milk . Grumpy Ober included!

The Red Curtain at the enterance door is close square high value sight seeing.
Quiet afternoon but still 10 mins before waiter came. Also, part of the non-smoking area was roped off - presumably due to lack of demand, but it meant non-smokers had less of a choice of tables.
No classy coffee experience here.We were in the non smoking area in the back and still went home smelling from head to toe like smoke and grease. The menus and seats had a thin greasy film . So gross.
Although the location and the vintage decoration are good the staff was very rude. It took them fore ever to take the order. It was very disappointing...

Service is rude and extremely arrogant. Waiters would push you on the side, while trying to bring orders to others.
I've never understood people who like this place. It's the definition of uncomfortable.

Ein ruhiges Plätzchen im geschäftigen Treiben der Mariahilfer Straße . Tipp: unbedingt den Schinken-Käse-Toast probieren.
Der Kuchen und der Kaiserschmarrn waren sehr lecker. Die Sitzpolster sind in die Jahre gekommen. Aufgeschlitzte Sitze sehen weniger schön aus. Aber ein perfekter Gaumenschmaus entschädigt für alles.
In Wien ist es möglich, in fast jedem Café bargeldlos zuzahlen. Das verleitet dazu, es als selbstverständlich hinzunehmen. Im Café Ritter ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich!
Das Café liegt neben der Mariahilferstraße (Fußgängerzone und Shoppingmeile) und beeindruckt mit seiner schönen Fassade.
Ein Spritzer in der Hand und die Geisteskranken am Bundesländerplatz beobachten! Das ist Wien!
Eine kurze Pause für eine Melange bietet sich hier sehr gut an!
Hatte ein großzügiges Stück Apfelstrudel und einen Cappucino mit Sahne. Beides sehr lecker! Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich.
