Beautiful place to visit and an ecological rarity, worldwide. Bring insect repellant.
Greatest place on Fire Island. No charge. Early evening is best as the crowds are gone and the night is cooler. Sunset is ideal!
Beautiful area to relax & enjoy nature. You’ll see a lot of deer here!
Come early evening to avoid the crowds and tours . Early October is magical. You almost have it all to yourself.
The walk by the beach side is especially beautiful. Would plan at least 2 hours to check out the area.

This used to be one of my favorite places in Fire Island. But in 2013 the place was over run by mosquitoes . It's now unbearable. Swarm storm. Mosquinado.
Pretty but the mosquitoes will attack!!!!!
