Impressive menu selection. Server's are attentive, knowledgeable , and the food is fantastic. If you're there early or party is late, go to the lounge in the back to grab a drink.
Everything was delicious! Given the array of dishes we sampled, I suggest Pekan Chicken , Short Rib noodle , soup dumplings and bone marrow potstickers . Based on portion sizes, groups of 2-4 are ideal.
Sit at the bar , the service is incredible. Everything is meant for sharing. The calamari stuffed with goat sausage is an appetizer not to be missed. Beef & Broccoli and Seafood Fried Rice , also yummy!
Pot stickers , duck fried rice , pekan chicken ! All “reasonably authentic” but so very delicious. Cocktails I found to be a bit overwrought but stellar wine list .
???????? Must try starters include pork buns (buns are lighter and fluffier than anything you've had). Dan dan noodles with peanuts are perfect sweet and spicy dish . Finish with chicken for your protein.
Duck Duck Goat adds a trendy twist to the traditional Chinatown flare with a menu of unique items like egg waffles , goat dumplings and shrimp toast dim sum . Read more
The Mapo doufu was amazing. Nice floral undertone and mouth numbing from peppercorns , not too spicy , great flavor from peppers , pork sausage was a nice touch. Order with a first city , it compliments
Yesss, all superlative. Loved the spring rolls , the shrimp soup , the aubergine , the beef with broccoli , the dumplings ... Cocktails are good, too. Definitely a must try (and see!)
This frozen concoction deserves a spot on this list--blueberry sorbet topped with rhubarb shaved ice , tapioca pearls and a condensed-milk-caramel sauce--yeah, this one makes the cut. Read more
Keeping with Stephanie Izzard tradition, the food is of good quality but pretty expensive with modest portions. Interesting take on Asian fare - the boozy bubble tea was a nice surprise!
My favorite was duck heart. Slap noodles , bone narrow pot stickers , and ma po dofu was delicious as well . Attentive and friendly serves and really neat atmosphere. Check out the decorations!
Amazing! One thing better than the next! Sliver noodles , octopus salad , seafood fried rice and pineapple cake . Might also bump into a celeb!
Fried rice with duck is a must! Also ordered soup dumpling and green beans . Soup dumpling was also very good but green beans were wayy too salty
The short rib noodles are outstanding. Get the green beans in black bean sauce , pickled cucumbers , and the sesame chicken . Dan dan noodles were good but not as good as everything else.
Tried 13 dishes. Appetizers were solid. Dumplings , soup in a bag, onion pancakes , duck hearts. Main dishes were okay. Beef broccoli , chicken pekan, fried rice . House Old Fashioned was excellent.
Soup dumplings are exploding with broth. Duck fried rice & Sichuan eggplant can’t be missed. Slap noods, moo shu pork , octopus salad are also very solid. Interior is stunning.
Onion pancake (so crispy ), green beans , and sweet/sour pork (walnutty and crispy ) were all solid, and had unique takes. Great vibes. Highly recommended!
What a great meal!! The Peking Duck was so delicious and the skin was done perfectly. The dumplings were flavorful.
Don’t miss the soup dumplings , Sichuan eggplant , or the duck fried rice . Interior is stunning. If your pants allow it slap noodles/moo shu pork are also great.
Highly recommend the duck slap noodles and the bone marrow potstickers . One of the best meals you will ever have!
The bone marrow pot stickers were delicious and I'd definitely recommend the fried rice with the tea hard boiled egg in it. Very flavorful
Try the beef slap noodles , the eggplant and goat sausage , and the forbidden rice . But you can't go wrong; everything is delicious.
Duck fried rice was an absolute must-get. The Xi'an spicy chicken was the rare time that something billed as spicy lives up to the name. Really well done.
Get the goat slap noodles ! Also, I suggest asking to sit in a good room. Food was amazing, but the place has really cool rooms, and we were seated by the door. Also, the wine pour was sad :(
The Szechuan fried chicken is awesome. Love the veggie fried rice too. Scallion pancakes are on the small side. Cocktails ???? are very delicious!
Everything. Got a private room for a big party and had a 10 course meal that all shared. Great food. Good Old Fashioned. So so wine list .
What started as a one-night pop-up dinner became Stephanie Izard’s third restaurant as part of the Boka Group, where Chinese flavors and techniques are reverently, if not strictly, employed. Read more
Was there for saturday brunch . Fun amount of spice, all winning tastes on the dim sum menu , food out fast. Service on point!
THE FRIED RICE OMFG. The baos too! And that hoisin sauce yummy. Sitting on the patio there was a great way to enjoy a quick meal .
The Beef and Broccoli was smoky and delicious. The Goat Lo Mein was great too.
Soup dumplings , Bone marrow potstickers , the noodles in the chicken chow fun are incredible, and duck fried rice -- all amazing.
Great food and excellent cocktails . Loved the Before Dawn and Blind Goat Old Fashioned.
I had the Duck Fried Rice and Octopus salad , everything was tasty and delicious ????
Scallion pancakes and the green beans were some of the best I’ve had! Everything was excellent.
Egg drop soup , pork fried rice , crab rangoons , slap noodles-- actually everything I've tried. Love the twist on everything
All the food items are good and the portion sizes are awesome. They have multiple options in vegetarian too
Pork fried rice , beef slap noodles & grilled shrimp
UNBELIEVABLE. slap noodles , fried rice , and bone marrow potstickers were absolutely incredible.
Everything I tried here was incredible, especially the goat slap noodles . Best to share several dishes.
You know everything is going to be really good here, and expectations are always met!
The food is delicious but very expensive for the portions that you get. We ate family-style, paid $55 per person and still ended up hungry an hour later. I recommend the beef and broccoli especially.
Shut the front door!!! Everything we ordered was amazing, especially the scallion pancakes and the duck fried rice ????????????????????
Everything is good. Potstickers , soup dumplings , slap noodles .. Yum. Get the mango cake for dessert !
Everything was beyond expectations. The goal rib special was unbelievable. Bones pulled right out of the meat. Tons of flavor and not dry at all.
Goat slap noodles and pickles were very good. I wanna come back to try their other noodles
If you want trendy vibes and Chinese food for foodies, come here. If you just want authentic Chinese food , go to Chinatown.
2019 Chicago Restaurant Week Menu: not full-size portions but still a lot of food
Stunning dim sum menu with a fab Peking duck .
Excellent dim sum restaurant . My favorite was the bone marrow potstickers !
Pros Slap noodles had a lot Of flavor, bone marrow pot stickers , duck fried rice , crab wontons . Cons Wait turned from 20 min to an hour. Waiter recommended way too many dishes for three women
