My favorite BBQ joint in Austin, a really different experience to most others. Order by the ½ pound, free sauce and bread , nice potato side. Love everything here.

The brisket here is amazing; we like the extra moist cut best. If you're not in the mood for BBQ , get the jalapeno sausage . It's spicy enough to tingle your tastebuds but not enough to burn your mouth

Must try. Get a pound of meat and just enjoy the deliciousness. I got the leaner meat, which others told me not to get but the moist had too much fat. I also got a root beer to top things off.

Rudy's is a classic Texas BBQ joint . It may look like you are pulling up to a gas station , but once you get inside you will know it is more than that. Bonus: The breakfast tacos are amazing.

I had the best meal of my life here. It's not a white table cloth kind of joint, but who care's? Impossibly tender brisket with a great spice rub.

The link and the coleslaw are my favorites and they have a good selection of diet sodas .. good for low carb !

Their creamed corn is essentially bbq dessert all by itself. But if you're not a corn fan, they have some delicious banana pudding as well . :-)

Stopped for the $1 sweet tea but stayed for the excellent BBQ potato and delicious beans

They updated the salsa bar at breakfast to include pico , two red salsas , and a creamy green one with a great kick.

Jalapeño sausage (hottie) and brisket galore! I love the sauce. I buy a bottle for home every time I am there.

Oh my Lord! Kill me now! The BBQ here is so amazing...totally rounded out my Texas trip and finished it with a bang! Must get the new potatos...buttery, salty goodness that pairs nicely with a link!

Forget your diet and go for the Moist Brisket , its worth the calories. The Japelano Sausage was tasty too.

Rudy's is great for fast BBQ . Wish they also offered sandwhiches , but the foods always good.

They add butter to their eggs for the breakfast tacos . You can order them without added butter and they will cook some up fresh for you.

Ask for the extra moist outside cut. It is the outside crust that they just throw away. Full of spices and flavor.

I love the half chicken , but can't eat much else there. Not many low carb , healthy veggie choices.

If you put sauce in a to-go cup, make sure you close the lid tightly in a circular fashion. Otherwise, sauce will spill all over the inside of your bag!

Excellent BBQ . You gotte get a little of everything. From Extra Moist Brisket to Turkey to Extra Lean Brisket . Enjoy with Shiner or a Dublin Dr .Pepper .
